Arch rivals in the Eastern Suburbs District Junior rugby league during the 1970's, the Easts Catholic Club and Bondi United had some torrid encounters whenever they met. These two clubs were valuable nurseries for the Roosters, providing a number of loyal clubmen from junior representative level right through to first grade. Bondi United are still in existence today, however the Easts Catholic Club, after merging with the Marcellin J.R.L club and being renamed Brothers at the end of season 1982, have sadly disappeared from the rugby league landscape.
The Easts Catholic Club jersey on the left was worn by Peter Farrugia during season 1974 and the Bondi United jersey belonged to Mark Snuggs who went on to play first grade for the Roosters. Thanks to Mick Walsh of Port Macquarie for the loan of 'Snuggsy's' Bondi United jersey.
