âStay away, youâre one big germâ Ritsu/Teru, if thatâs okay? This is where I ask, right?
This is where you ask! Thanks for the prompt!
---
If thereâs one thing Teruâs learned about Ritsu over the years theyâve known each other, itâs that Ritsu is unbearably stubborn. About everything.
Teru doesnât have a right to complain, he supposes, considering his own track record when it comes to the subject, but that doesnât keep it from grating on his nerves on the occasion he and Ritsu donât see eye-to-eye. Today is one of those days, it would seem, as Ritsu shuffles into homeroom, red-eyed and pale as a ghost. Teru can tell just by looking at him that heâs come down with some nasty bug or another, and if his appearance hadnât given him away immediately his behavior certainly does. He practically collapses into his seat, next to Teru beside the classroom window, and immediately lets his head fall onto his desk with a groan.
âTough morning?â Teru guesses, slightly concerned but mostly amused by Ritsuâs melodramatic entrance. He leans against his desk, propping his head up in his hand as he gazes down at his friendâs slumped-over form. âItâs only Monday, itâs a little early to be giving up the ghost, donât you think?â he teases, a habit that comes easier and easier to him the more time they spend together.
Ritsu opens his eyes to shoot Teru a now-familiar scowl, his bangs falling out of his face and fanning out across his desk. âDonât laugh at me, Shige got me sick,â he scolds, though he doesnât seem to have the energy to argue much.
Teru quirks a brow at him; he knows that Shigeo had been sick with the flu most of the previous week, and had spent most of that time at home, in bed, resting. âYou caught Shigeoâs flu? Whyâd you come to school, then?!â Ritsu looks practically dead in his seat, and Teru isnât too fond of being near a potentially contagious friend, either, no matter how much he appreciates Ritsuâs company. He pulls his math notebook out of his backpack and flips it open to last nightâs homework, noting that class is due to start soon.
Ritsu doesnât answer Teruâs question, just lifts his head to peer over Teruâs shoulder the way he sometimes does when he wants to check his own answers against Teruâs. âWhat did you get for number four?â he asks, and his breath tickles the back of Teruâs neck in his proximity.
Teru leans away immediately, wrinkling his nose. âStay away from me, youâre one big germ,â he accuses, âand you didnât answer my question. Go home Ritsu, youâre sick.â
Ritsu backs off, meeting Teruâs gaze. âI need to turn in my homework,â he insists.
âJust give it to me, Iâll make sure the teacher gets it,â Teru retorts.
âI canât miss too much schoolwork, or Iâll fall behind.â
âIâll give your homework to Shigeo, you can do it at home while you rest.â
âI have student council meetings every day.â
âThey can survive without you while youâre sick, I doubt youâll be much use in your condition anyway.â Teru waves his hand at Ritsu dismissively. âItâs just a few days, Ritsu, let us take care of you.â
Ritsu stares Teru down for a few long seconds, frowning disapprovingly, and then he sighs and turns his gaze down to his homework. âNosy,â he mumbles, and Teru knows heâs won the argument.
âStubborn,â Teru retorts right back, an amused grin tugging at the corners of his mouth as Ritsu stows away the textbook heâd brought out.
Ritsu snorts, futilely attempting to hide a grin of his own. He passed Teru his homework, letting it fall onto his desk with a quiet thump as he slung his bag over his shoulder. âFine, you win. Iâll have the nurse write me a note,â he relents. âMake sure Shige gets my homework, okay?â
Teru leans back in his chair casually, clasping his hands behind his head. âSure, whatever you say,â he replies. âBe careful on your way home, alright? Fevers can be really dangerous, you donât want to pass out on the way home.â
âYouâre the one who holes up in his apartment and refuses to ask for help when he gets sick,â Ritsu points out, raising a brow at him briefly, but he seems unwilling to argue further in his fatigued state.
âJust be careful, you can scold me later.â
Ritsuâs lips twitching into the smallest of amused smiles, and nods his head. âIâll ask Mom to pick me up if I donât feel safe walking home,â he promises, and itâs enough to quell Teruâs lingering concerns. He nods and bids Ritsu goodbye, watching as he walks out of the classroom right before their homeroom teacher shows up to start class.
For the ship meme!! Whatâs ur grade for Trevor/Julia or Helen/Melanie?
Trevor/Julia A++++++++, my OTP for the show!
Helen/Melanie is A+, itâs perfect but I donât have strong feelings about fics for it or anything. I just think itâs neat!

Naruto: Itachi reincarnated as Sakura
From ghosts in her heart by @bombsareforbabies, which is an amazing piece of work where Itachi-as-Sakura calls confused-af-Sasuke âlittle brotherâ and it gives me too many feels.
Let me preface this with: I followed you because, even though I do not really follow the arcana fandom, ur art is so entrancing and colorful and generally wonderful that I had to follow. Now that I have clarified my adoration for ur art, I have to admit that I thought ur username was like, a cheeky pun that combined the words âbastardâ and âartâ and I am very sorry for that.
Keep up the beautiful work, and once again I am so sorry
Ah, the classic
Donât worry, youâre by far not the only person with that problem. I wish Iâd actually thought of it, but no, I was just an idiot. Unfortunately I donât have the bastard energy to roll with it

Hehehe, here's a thing from a Reach one-shot I've been working on for a bit!
Biting his lip, Shou takes Ritsuâs uninjured arm in both hands and helps him to his feet, steadying him while he gets his legs back underneath him. âThat was a nasty fall. I guess you got a little too close to a nest,â he says, glancing up at the top of the tree where the falcon has descended into the branches and reclaimed its nest. âYouâre usually good with birds, though. I didnât think it would attack you.â
âThat doesnât mean theyâre not going to defend their nests from me,â Ritsu sighs out in response, dusting off his pants and wincing when it disturbs the scrapes on his arm. âShe had eggs in her nest, she mightâve thought I was going after them. Canât really blame her for being protective.â Once heâs straightened up all the way, Shou lets one of his hands drop from Ritsuâs arm, and reaches over to tentatively brush away the feathers between his shoulder blades to get a look at the scratches underneath.
Ritsu hisses in protest and jerks instinctively away, a few bloodied feathers falling from the spot Shou had touched and falling quickly to the ground. âSorry,â Shou amends, flashing Ritsu an apologetic smile. âThat looks like it hurts, we should get you cleaned up before the dirt gets into your cuts and gives you an infection.â
Tentatively laying a hand over the scrapes on his arm, Ritsu just nods, looking more annoyed than pained as he turns towards his house, just past the edge of the wild orchard. Apple-picking would have to wait until another day, it seems.
