I DO NOT CONDONE BOJACKāS ACTIONS. iāve always simply thought he would be really interesting to play with the generational themes and his constant running in circles (reference intended if you have watched). outside of that, entp, 7w8!
also i am!! very tired right now so i can edit this and give a better rundown later but basically: bojack was born to beatrice sugarman and butterscotch horseman. they were both neglectful at best and abusive at worst (but like... heās under the Hilariously Abusive Childhood trope on tvtropes for a reason... like theyāre quite outlandish most of the time). he moved to los angeles and eventually became the star of the tv show horsinā around (80s-90s family sitcom formula, played the main character āthe horseā). that was cancelled and he became a has-been. throw in some drug abuse and alcoholism with a healthy side of mental illness and this comedic horse got dark.
