Did the cabbage retain much nutritional value upon boiling? I'm prolly too modern day, but that mustard one looks like it'd taste better raw n shredded or maybe blanched?
I wasn’t able to find out much about the nutritional value of cabbage other than that it has some, and I haven’t found any mention that boiling reduces that much. From what I have seen thus far, it looks like boiled cabbage was a pretty big staple in the 1930s, and some of the sources I have seen have suggested it has associations with Irish immigrants, which would fit well with Steve I think.Also, boiled cabbage can be quite nice with salt. My Mum made cooked cabbage and ham as a side for dinner when I was younger, and it was a favourite of mine. Boiled cabbage and bacon is also a common Irish food. Can’t say how the mustard would go, but I don’t much like mustard so I’m not a good judge xDI only had a chance to do a quick search during my sanity break from an assignment but common foods is a topic I want to cover at some point so it’s quite possible I’ll have more info sometime in the future :D

The Real Jerk
It’s always best to try local places and be able to recommend them with confidence to you all. The Real Jerk is owned by Ed and Lily Pottinger. Originally they started in Toronto and opened a branch in the heart of Streatham.
