Meet one of our Co-Chair members, Katie Kern! Ms. Kern is an accomplished public relations and marketing professional and successful entrepreneur whose had her finger on the pulse of the public relations and marketing industry for more than ten years. Ms.Kern's well-rounded experience has spanned from her two-year stint with Reebok, one of the largest footwear companies in the world, to managing multiple accounts in a marketing and communications agency environment. In 2009, she founded the public relations agency, Circa PR, one of the first public relations firms in Charleston, SC that focused solely on the fashion and retail industries. Circa PR specialized in developing publicity campaigns for fashion, retail, beauty, home decor and art businesses by utilizing a fusion of public relations, viral marketing, cross promotions, exciting events, product placement and website publicity. Some of her clients included Trish McEvoy, Cos Bar Cosmetics Boutique, Bits of Lace, MISIU Beauty, Taashki Handbags, Berlins for Women and Carroll Apparel Group. Ms. Kern was also the founder and producer of the Charleston Eco Fashion Event, an event that showcases independent fashion designers who support and embrace responsible eco-friendly philosophies. Some of Ms. Kern’s more unique experiences include being the society editor for Charleston Magazine and serving on the steering committee for Charleston Fashion Week. She is also a founding board member of The Fashion Group International of Charleston, Inc. Most recently, Ms. Kern is the Marketing and PR Director at Media Frenzy Global, an award winning agency specializing in digital and traditional PR, social media, and marketing communications with offices in London and Atlanta.
