Fitness Log.
So my co-worker who just happens to be a trainer at the gym in at my workplace (yes…awesome…I know) told me about doing these “hotel/on the go exercises.” So basically they are 3 sets of 20 reps of pushups, situps, and squats. I didn’t feel like being in a gym crowded with people (aka more than just me, especially since I don’t have headphones). And so, I elected to do this workout in my 8 by 7 room: 20 squats25 crunches20 pushups10 seconds of lightly jogging in place while sipping water.10 seconds of high knees in place.REPEAT. Actually, since what she meant was sit ups, I think I’ll do an extra fifteen foot to foot crunches (making sure finger tips touch shin each time I reach…see video) in addition to each of the 25 crunches I did.  I figure they’re about half the effort of a situp (….) so why not? I also found that I didn’t complete the pushups straight through after the first time around. To compensate, I’d do as many pushups as possible then tack on an extra 5 seconds of staying in plank position.  If I took two breaks, that equaled 10 seconds of plank. I stayed in plank/pushup position until I was done with 20 push ups.  Didn’t sit or collapse into a break. Also, I listened to Pandora’s AWESOME playlist: Puma’s Let’s Kick It. Click the Play Now button on the left side. I feel stronger after doing this and was glad I pushed myself.  Have a very blessed and amazing day.
Working On My Fitness...
From old Blog. No, I haven't started..... -.-
Thinking about starting a workout plan. The last time I religiously worked out was first semester of my freshman year. I’m at a healthy weight: 116lbs @ 5’. I don’t want to be super skinny (already losing my butt), but I’d like to not get tired after walking up four flights of steps.
Here’s the plan. These are just goals. I won’t be able to do everything yet, but it’s a start:
Workout 3x a week. Nonconsecutive.
1 min. push ups
2 min. crunches
1 min. squats
20 min. of Pilates 2x a week
Brisk walk Saturday and Sunday mornings (6-9am OR 7-8pm): 1 to 2 miles
