The Air Force Museum's B-29 Superfortress is Bockscar, the plane that dropped the atomic bomb over Nagasaki. Â The red bomb emblem above the plane's nose art represents that mission, while the others represent more standard bombing missions. Â
Below that you can see a replica of the Fat Man atomic bomb along with a replica of Little Boy, which had been dropped over Hiroshima by the Enola Gay just days before. Â The Enola Gay is in the possession of the Smithsonian and is on display at the Air and Space Museum's Udvar-Hazy Center.
