In this universe witchcraft and supernatural stuff is real and commonly believed in
Tina is 16-17 years old and a junior witch
magic is passed down randomly throughout family trees but in this case Lily Belcher was a type of which (probably nature based magic because of bobs comment on how she’d rather you leave than pick flowers)
A magical accident killed Lily and her son bob has warned against and asked the kids to not practice magic
Tina secretly practices magic in the basement
Louise wants to learn really bad but she’s still too young (she’s early junior high age) so she tries to constantly convince Tina to make her an unofficial apprentice.
Linda and Gene are bards
Gene is in highschool trying to bring back a bard club and bard culture that was popular when Linda was his age
Bob is mostly a regular human besides the fact that his food has flavor enchantments (that’s how his parents taught him to cook so he doesn’t really think of it as dangerous magic)
The fischoeders are actually ancient trickster-like gods and have connections and lineage everywhere in town
As tina discovers more about the town and about Calvin and Felix she starts to isolate away from her siblings because she’s found out something dangerous (idk what it is yet)
