Giving Carpe Diem another shot; I liked it more the second time through. It’s still a Feldian Point Salad Extraordinaire, but imagine you’re trying to build a house in Los Altos or something with all its insanely persnickety and restrictive zoning rules and the capriciousness of the scoring feels more thematic. Why are you building a fish pond? Because city zoning rule 12.7.4.8.2 says if you have a pond within 3.25’ of a herb garden you can reduce your easement by 5’ and that clears space for your bakery. Makes total sense.
