In Good Company
(Part 2)
brian may x reader : readerâs the 5th member of queen, and she sleeps with brian when they were both drunk and she finds out sheâs pregnant half way through a tour, causing her to try to hide the pregnancy from everyone, especially brian. rock stars canât have babies, right?
Note: this is PART TWO of the In Good Company series!! iâm overwhelmed by the positive reactions from everyone, in so glad you like it!! iâm currently working on parts 3 and 4 and maybe even a bonus 5th if i get to it, as for now, enjoy!! plus thereâs some John Deacon x Reader if you really squint đ đ
PART TWO:
Minutes passed, you still stood in the bathroom, whole body numb. You couldnât tour while pregnant. What would the fans think? What would the press and media say? What would the boys say? What would Brian think? You breathed heavily, trying to calm down and hopefully make sense of the situation. You were only on tour for about 3 more months, which wasnât all too bad. Seems like if you truly were pregnant, you had to have been about a couple of weeks along, enough for things to stay and continue to develop, obviously. By the time tour was over, it would be easy to then tell Freddie and the boys and maybe just give the baby up for adoption. You couldnât care for a child. Life touring and on the road with no support was hard enough without the extra stress of having a child to care for as well. As for now, you decided to stay quiet. It would be best for everyone. You agreed with yourself a little, feeling better, hoping your plan would go as you hoped.
Suddenly you heard a knock at the bathroom door. A yawn follows and you couldnât help but giggle silently to yourself. Brian, sleepy, adorable Brian was standing on the other side of the door.
âY/N/N, sweetheart, are you okay?â He asked, tired voice quiet.
âHmm? Oh yes, Iâm fine. Be out in one moment!â You said, voice a little too cheery for your own taste.
Brian noticed but didnât want to say anything.
You quickly wrapped the test in some toilet tissue and disposed of it in the trash bin, covering up the evidence with tissues. You opened the door, smiling to Brian.
âGood morning Brian. Why are you up so early? We have a show tonight.â You glanced at his gloomy eyes and messy wild curls.
âI woke up and you werenât in the bed. I thought maybe youâd gotten sick again. How are you feeling today?â He asked, yawning. He stretched his arms above his head, shirt riding up over his hip bones and showing off his little tummy. âIâm alright. Doinâ alright.â you sang, loving how you made Briâs eyes roll in his head. The sudden jolt of your heart dropped to the pit of your stomach. Youâre pregnant, you thought and your nerves grew even more ferocious. Your smile fell for a moment as you climbed back into bed.
Brian chuckled as he watched you snuggle deep into the pillows and blankets, rejoining you. You could feel his body heat from how close he was, and you swore he could hear how fast your heart was beating. The under lying guilt of not telling him anything was just enough to suppress for now.
He clambered in to the covers and you watched him lazily try to readjust the pillows.
âBri?â you spoke up after a few moments, voice small and drenched in sadness.
He frowned and lifted the blankets to find you. His hazel eyes scanned your face, inquiring about what was going on inside your head.
âYou alright?â He asked, voice ever so soft and careful. He was your best friend, he knew you better than almost anyone. Not Freddie though, but he had that gift to him.
âCould you hold me?â You asked, voice wavering up and down.
He gave it a moment, thinking to himself momentarily before he silently nodded and as you turned over in the bed, you felt his arms wrap securely around your waist.
âWhateverâs going on in your beautiful little head, it will be over soon. You can talk to me about anything, sweetheart.â He mumbled gently and you responded by nuzzling up against his chest, not letting him see the tears come to your eyes.
âBrian... I...â You began but couldnât finish.
âWhoa whoa whoa.â He started, hearing the wetness in your voice. âWhatâs the matter? Shushhh. Itâll be alright, okay? thereâs no need to worry over everything. Itâs okay my love.â He cooed and held you tight, rocking you silently.
You found no courage to answer him, you could only let yourself cry for a moment, especially after he called you his love.
A few long moments passed and your tears subsided. You quietly fell back asleep, enjoying Brianâs warmth more than anything.
Brian sighed heavily, unsure of what was happening. After that night you two had slept together, it was if nothing had happened between you two. Roger wouldnât stop bugging him about asking you out, so much so that he almost took it upon himself to crack his drumsticks a few times. He felt confused, wanting more with you, but he was unsure of how you truly felt, not even knowing if you had remembered that night at all.
He soon heard your breathing even out and you had fallen limp against him and he slowly got up, blowing out a saved breath. He ran his hands through tangled curls, wishing he could do more for you than just watch and listen.
Brian decided maybe he should get up and get ready too, then at least you both could talk about it once you woke up from your little morning nap.
You had fallen asleep for about an hour or so. When you woke up, you felt fine for once, getting up and stretching out your sore body. Brian wasnât in the room. He must of been getting breakfast. Just then, your stomach grumbled loudly at the thought of eating, so you found yourself coming down to the lobby, finding your boys and getting some food in your system.
Days turned to weeks and before you knew it, the tour was coming to a close. There was no doubt that something fishy was happening with you. The boys noticed immediately when you began to turn down drinks and the occasional smoke with Roger. Or that you stopped giving so many hugs and seemed to turn away at anyone touching you, scared theyâd figure out the truth. It was as if the night you got sick something switched in your head and you were suddenly a more healthy person. As much as they worried, they noticed you looked a lot more healthier. Your face was fuller and such a blushed color at all times. Brian wouldnât admit, but the way your chest seemed to blossom was sending him very terrible thoughts. Your skin was so peachy and your hair so shinny, he thought maybe he was imagining things. Or that you smelled even more incredible than you do before.
Hiding the pregnancy from John and Freddie was hardest of all. John had a child already, he knew what pregnancy was like for his wife and he could tell something was different with you. You seemed to carry yourself a little more slowly and your hips swayed a little more than usual, making him wonder what you had been up to.
Freddie of course was worst of all. You constantly had to hide your body, your stomach seeming to grow a lot more than you had expected. Your constant costume changes were throwing off his groove, since some nights heâd pick things for you both to match in.
You stood in your dressing room with Freddie, arguing about an outfit he had chosen that was extremely skin tight. Before your stomach began to grow, you wouldnât have minded. It was nice having something so tight to dance on the stage in, but there was no way you could wear it in your condition.
Dressed in a loose peasant top and flared jeans, you tossed your hair to the side and huffed at the pants Freddie had wanted you to wear.
âPlease, isnât there something else I could try, Fred. What about that white top you had made, the long tunic one!â You suggested.
âNo.â Freddie turned and put his hands on his hips. âYou wore that the last three concerts. Itâs getting old and tacky. We were supposed to have correlating outfits, dear, not a billowy pillow case.â
You grumbled to yourself.
âI just donât feel comfortable wearing these. Theyâre tight.â You said rolling your eyes. there was no way the trousers would even try to button with your protruding stomach.
âSince when are you so prudish?â Freddie suddenly fired.
âWhat? Iâm not being prudish!â You weâre taken aback by his sudden snobbiness.
âY/N, darling, you used to wear such daring, minxy outfits. You were starting to set off trends. Now itâs all of a sudden itâs oversized this and that. Itâs not a good look on your darling. This is rock and roll! Plus those tits youâve gotten are a gift you shouldnât keep locked away.â
Suddenly you felt very self conscious and aware of your body. You hated how round you looked and felt. You felt your eyes water and you swallowed hard. Before Freddie could apologize, you stormed out of the room, finding Brian and Rogerâs shared room. âDo any of you have anything I can wear tonight?â You asked, beginning to rummage through clothing racks of the concert clothes theyâd both collected. You settled on an old black woven peasant blouse from Rogerâs clothes and decided that youâs just have to wear your own leather leggings with some flashy boots maybe. Freddie came into the room, gasping at the audacity you had to find another outfit.
âPut that back!â
âNo!â you shouted, tears still threatening to spill out of your eyes.
âYou are not wearing that!â Freddie cried out, grin threatening to split his face.
Roger began laughing, but Brian began to stand, wanting whatever was happening to settle down before anyoneâs true feelings got hurt.
You crossed your arms over your chest.
âFine, Fred. I wonât wear it.â You say, a little breathless.
âGood.â He smiled softly.
âIâm not performing tonight.â You respond in a snarky tone.
âWh-Wait a goddamn minute. Youâre not performing over an outfit?â He raised a single eyebrow, and you knew he was pissed.
you stood your ground, Brian eyeing you up worriedly.
âLet me wear what i feel comfortable in and thatâll be that.â You counter offer, holding the hanger with the blouse on it as it it were a deadly gun in an old fashioned shoot out.
âWhatâs the matter with what I picked.â He asked, Roger silent. Deaky had now entered the dressing room, watching what was happening.
âNothingâs the matter Fred.â
âThen wear it.â
âNo.â
âWhy?â
âBecause... Because they wonât fucking fit me okay? Iâve gained weight. Now just let me wear what Iâd like, Freddie.â You hissed, feeling rather embarrassed that you had to say that in front of your closest friends for him to finally drop the subject.
John looked to your face, feeling your sad emotions it seemed. You saw Roger trying not to laugh at the ridiculous situation, and you hadnât dared look at Brian scared heâd notice too much.
âJust get me 10 minutes before the start. Iâll be in my dressing room.â You let out a shaky sigh and excused yourself from the room feeling the eyes of the boys on your figure as you left.
You went to you dressing room, sitting in front of your mirror and looking back at your face. You rubbed your eyes, and sighed, feeling defeated by your emotions yet again. You hadnât noticed that your door had been opened and that John stood very quietly by it. He cleared his throat, making you jump.
âSorry John, I donât think this is the best time to talk-â You began.
âYouâre pregnant, arenât you?â
You met his eyes in the mirror and closed your own tight, letting out a deep breath. A moment passed before you decided to say anything more.
âWhat makes you think iâm pregnant-â
âYou argued with Freddie over clothing you picked out. You always think his style is much better than yours most of the time. You havenât smoked or had alcohol with any of us since you got sick. You look softer. If i didnât say any better, or know you any better, iâd say you were pregnant, and have been for a while.â John smiled warmly, voice ever so thoughtful and quiet.
âSo what if I am?â you grew cold and defensive quite quickly.
âWhy didnât you tell us?â He worried, not leaving his spot by the door.
You took in a quiet breath, feeling your throat swell closed.
âWe wouldnât still be on tour... you all wouldâve sent me home. Touring while pregnant or even having a baby is a rough life. Iâm sure you know that.â You sniffled as you turn to face him in your chair.
John looked to his shoes and let out a huff. He did know. He wanted more than anything for his wife and baby boy to be along side him, but the constant moving and driving was a bad toll for anyone.
He moved closer to you and took your hand, helping you stand.
âDo you know who the father is?â He asked, no judgement in his voice at all.
You gently nodded and bit your cheek.
âBrian is the father.â
John smiled a little bit more, feeling relieved by the answer regardless.
âYou know, heâs always wanted to be a dad. Iâm sure heâd ask you to marry him the second he knew you were having his baby.â Deaky chuckled light heartedly.
âIâm afraid he might not even remember sleeping with me in the first place.â You confessed, feeling your chest tighten at the thought that you still had to tell Brian.
âNone the less. We have a week left out here before we head for home. Soon you can get everything situated for the little one.â He smiled and looked down to your stomach, even though it was hidden.
You couldnât help but feel grateful for Deakyâs trusting nature and nurturing persona. âHow far along are you, love?â He asked, excited for you. He loved children and babies, and he certainly was going to love yours just as much as his own.
You chuckle a little bit and take a step back. It felt weird to do so, but you cradled your bump through your shirt, showing him just how big your belly had gotten in just a few weeks. âShould be around 20 weeks, if i calculate that right.â
His eyes widen and he giggled helplessly. âI canât believe youâve been hiding this from everyone! You look so stunning! Truly incredible!â He said warmly, taking your shoulders gently as a very light comfort to you.
âI know. Itâs hard for me too. Though it seems I donât have anything to wear for the upcoming closing concerts.â You shook your head, remembering the silly argument.
âDonât listen to Freddie. He can be a prick sometimes. You know that.â John replied quickly. You began to laugh between the two of you and you shook your head. âSo can I.â You sigh, feeling awful for hiding what was going on, but at least John could understand.
âWhat am I going to do?â You asked.
âI think you should talk to Brian about this. Then the rest of us. I can act surprised again, if youâd like.â John joked and ran a hand through the top of his hair.
âI really should. Thank you John.â You smiled and for the first time in a rather long while, you pull him into a hug, not caring that your stomach was between the both of you. He held you back firmly for a moment, before you jumped and looked down to your midsection.
You pull away and gasp, hands flying to your stomach. âWhoa...â You said softly, feeling it again.
John looked to where your hands were holding on your stomach and felt his heart skip a beat. âDid the baby just kick?â He asked.
âI-I think it just did... Oh! Itâs doing it again!â You say, feeling the flutter inside your body, so you gently take Johnâs hand and guide his fingers to where the tiny foot kicked under your skin. He had the biggest smile on his face as he, too felt the baby flutter within.
âOh my goodness... Oh my god...â You said, unable to comprehend the kicks.
âIncredible, Y/N.â John whispered, unable to stop smiling from excitement for you.
After standing for a moment and the kicks began to fade, John bid you adue before he started to get ready for the show. And you knew your secret was safe with him.
You had also decided to find Freddie and apologize for making such a fuss, while he profusely apologized for making you feel uncomfortable and that you werenât fat and that your body was very welly filled out and gorgeous too. He let you wear the black flowy top and suggested a sparkly long shawl over, so it looked like you had wings made of the starry night sky with leather leggings and some groovy white heeled boots.
âYou do look fabulous in almost anything, donât you Y/N.â He chuckled, looking at you in your outfit, happy as ever that the shirt hid your bump. âOh hush, Youâre trying to make me feel better because Iâm not as hot in this outfit. You know, Iâm not looking for anyone in the crowd. Iâm pretty satisfied with a guitarist we have on stage.â
Freddie went nuts, pretending to be Brian, and you playing your over dramatic self.
After laughing like fools, you got your hair and makeup done before final sound checks just as soon as a concert would began yet again. Tonight you were playing guitar so your stomach was always hidden, and you could sit on a barstool if need be. The energy that night was fantastic between everyone on stage. There was never a dull moment and you havenât played as well in a good moment. Brian even let you lead â39 that night on guitar and you swear you couldnât be happier. Deaky seemed extra keen, dancing with a little more spunk than usual. Roger screamed more than normal and that caused everyone in the room to feel even more rowdy. At the end of the set, You and Brian ended up having a playful solo battle, and your guitars were almost grinding on each other in a playful fight. All of your worries had gone and you were riding a generous high supplied by letting your secret out. You felt as though you were dancing on air, pleasing the crowd and your boys.
âThank you everyone! Goodnight!â You shouted out as you began to exit the stage, feeling sore already from dancing and moving in ways you knew you really shouldnât try to do while in your state, but you felt more happy than you did at the beginning of the tour.
You felt Deakyâs supportive arm looped under yours and escorted you back stage as the rest of the boys followed suit.
âWas that wicked or what?!â Roger excitedly shouted, flipping his head back and mauling the rest of the boys with a huge hug.
âY/N, the guitar battle was brilliant!â Brian said excitedly, patting your back and ruffling your hair. âI had to save everyone from the same 13 minute long solo youâve been doing, Bri.â You chuckle and gain a goofy grin as Freddie laughs with you.
âEveryone did brilliant tonight. Best show yet and itâs not even the finale!â Freddie said as he sauntered to a roadie and suddenly appeared with a champagne bottle, popping it open in the most sexual way and spraying it all over everyone. It was something that was straight out of your dreams.
Late after the boys came back from the bars, you decided to stay back and shower, wanting a good head start to the day tomorrow since you all were leaving the hotel you were staying at and continuing touring on the bus.
As you shower, you start to get dressed and catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, dressed in just your night shorts and unbuttoned night shirt. Thankfully, you had your own room, but you knew the boys would probably bust in the door any moment. They were drinking anyways, theyâd be gone for a little longer.
You starred at your reflection, trying to button your sleep-shirt fully over your rounded middle but found no luck, so you kept it open, dancing a little in the mirror and checking out your curves. You had to admit, pregnancy did look good on you. You run your hands over your stretched sides and sighed heavily. âOh dear, how am I going to tell Brian about you.â You hummed quietly to the bump.
You snuffed a yawn from yourself and looked at your pile of things that were all packed and found your run down acoustic guitar, deciding that playing something sweet might let your soul calm before you decided to say anything to anyone. Right now it was just you alone, and thatâs how you wanted it to be.
You took your guitar and rested back in your bed, propped up with as many pillows as you could find. It was a little hard to play the right chords from your little âobstructionâ but you managed and began to sing a soft little melody to your ever growing middle.
âTake good care of those you call your own, and keep good companyâ
You strum the guitar gently, humming along softly, you felt a flutter at your side and pressed a hand to it, smiling graciously. You still had to decide what was going to happen after the baby was born, whether youâd decide to keep it or give it for adoption should Brian or anyone else in the band disown you for it. Your future was a little unsure and you could feel the guilt riding up your spine again.
You had plenty of time to think about it, so you shook the thoughts away and continue to play, closing your eyes and singing sweetly and softly.
You didnât notice however, that the Brian, Roger, Freddie, and John had all come back from the bar. You didnât notice that you left your door unlocked, and you really didnât notice that Brian had let himself in and was now starring at you and your exposed pregnant belly, with wide eyes and a pale face, expression worried, and confused.
âY/N?â You hear Brian say, voice barely above a whisper.

In Good Company
Brian May x Reader : the reader is the 5th member of Queen, and she just so happens to sleeps with Brian when they were both drunk and she finds out sheâs pregnant half way through a tour, causing her to try to hide the pregnancy from everyone, especially brian. rock stars canât have babies, right? note: iâm hoping to make this at least a 4 part series!! weâll see how it goes! let me know what you think!!
Helping Brian May out with his band project seemed like a great idea at the time, but 5 years later and suddenly youâre apart of the one of the most up and coming rock groups of all time was not the original plan you had set out for life. You were happy to help him though, he was an extremely close friend thanks to your friend Freddie, who introduced you to Smile whilst in college. His looks werenât the only thing persuading you, though it was a main reason. Brian May was an angel to your eyes, a statue that belonged beside David, or even Aphrodite. If he wasnât such a kind friend whoâs close group of boys had excepted you so quickly, maybe youâd still be studying in college, trying to figure it out as you go. It was only supposed to be extra back ground vocals and maybe an instrument here and there, but it quickly escalated into Freddieâs second leading singer and mostly acoustic guitar or piano on the big stage. The way your voices could all meld together like liquid gold honey, it was obvious that they needed a fifth member, and you were the first and only choice, leading to such a success with their second and third and especially their fourth album, A Night at the Opera. Now here you were, half way through your North American Oper tour, playing a new venue every night, prancing around on stage in brilliant costumes and hearing Freddieâs killer vocal skills. Rogerâs drum beats would sent your heart on fire and you could feel Deakyâs electric pull of his bass strings, making you want to dance all night long. Brianâs guitar skills were only ever improving, with new solos and little tidbits that would just dazzle the crowd and you couldnât help just absolutely falling deeply in love with him and his creations. Every night was brand new and just as exciting as the last, always ending with a grand show, brilliant after parties and the most comfortable of hotel rooms. The lap of luxury was finally caressing every single person of Queen, all loving and hating it equally so.
Road life was hard, constantly around the same people who were all annoyed with each others closeness, but you all managed to try and keep arguing to a minimum after Roger had broken the second coffee machine on the tour bus and you had all been left without caffeine for 3 days as you traveled through the southern states of America. It was quite impressive no one had come close to strangling Roger or Brian from complaining about no coffee or caffeine after it was both of them that had started to fight over who would get the last cup of coffee in the first place. None the less, everything settled and most things were back to order. Most.
Very soon after your visit to the south, the road was getting quite lonely for you, and most of the boys. John was longing for his wife, Roger was getting tired of the same old âyoung and blonde and in love with a drummerâ groupies who would hang around the tour bus. Brian was getting into one of his depressive states and it began to effect you too. The closeness of the tour had pushed you and Bri to new levels of friendship, even on the brink of a budding relationship. The pair of you were too oblivious to see the love between you, but that was mostly from the haze of adrenaline every night. Thankfully, the next show wasnât until threes days away, so you all stoped in a little town on the way into the next huge city Queen was touring through and decided to have a little holiday to relax and unwind for a little while before the heat of the shows would begin again. Those three days seemed to change your life in many reasons, the first being, Brian May had kissed you. Second, you had both had sex whilst completely drunk, and Brian didnât seem to remember anything. And third, months later, you noticed just as you were about to go on stage, that you donât get stage fright and puking before you ran on stage was very not normal.
You tossed a glance back and saw Johnâs horrified expression as you hurled in a bin, and Brian blinked quickly, wanting to help, but Freddie was already on stage and you pushed those around you forward so they would run on to the stage instead. You quickly wiped off your mouth on your long purple flowing bell sleeves. You swallowed hard as your stomach churned and you grew cold and sweaty. You quickly strapped your guitar on and began to play the opening chords of the set and made your way on stage, creating such a dramatic entrance, pretending as though you hadnât just been sick. The crowd went wild and the concert proceeded like they normally would.
As soon as you had all played an encore, you escorted yourself directly to your dressing room, wanting to get out of the view of awaiting fans and the eyes of the boys and your management. You quickly close the door, trying to catch your breath. Your stomach was still trying to tear up your insides and you had to sit for a moment, feeling absolutely horrid.
Suddenly you heard a multitude of fists at your door.
âY/N, love open the door! Itâs Freddie.â
âWhatâs wrong? Are you okay? Are you ill?â You heard John pipe up.
There were two other faint voices and you knew it was Roger and Brian behind the two shorter men.
You stand, feeling you stomach twist again, and suddenly you were back to puking in a bin.
âDoors... open...â you breath out, leaning against a wall and trying to calm down.
The door creaked open and you felt gentle hands pull you up off the ground, standing you against a warm, bony body. Brianâs hand held the small of your back and his hand at your elbow, gently holding you up. You shudder against his chest, as Freddie pressed the back of his hand to your forehead. âWhatâs going on, dear? You shouldâve said you werenât feeling well..â he began.
âNo, no itâs fine. Iâm okay. Must of been stage freight or anxiety or something like that.â You say, voice a little raw from singing and also puking.
âYou scared me, Y/N.â Roger mentioned as he grabbed you a glass of water from your makeup stand.
âIâm sorry. I donât know what came over me. I was feeling fine all day and then I-â You suddenly stopped talking, your stomach dropping once more and you gagged, turning away from the boys as you got sick once again, this time not really throwing up, but you heaved and heaved, tears coming to your eyes. You felt Brian rub your back and gently coo at you until you felt better. You let out a soft groan, eyes and face furrowed as your stomach cramped and you tried to recover quickly.
Deaky excused himself from the room, feeling overwhelmed by the people and the smells from the sweat and vomit.
âI donât know what happened. Iâll be alright. Go out there... to talk to the fans and the people. I promise, Iâll be fine.â You gently smile, feeling yourself getting better by the minute.
âAre you sure, Y/N/N? You donât seem okay.â Brian murmured in your ear, making sure you were stable before letting you go. âIâm feeling a little better. Everything is definitely out now.â You nodded and gave him a crooked smile. âIâll be okay, just give me a moment and Iâll join you back stage.â You turn to face him and he gently touched your cheek, the skin burning pink under his palm. His thumb rubbed under your eye and wiped the tears that had squeezed their way out.
âSweet girl. You never stop, donât you.â He let out a soft chuckle, making your heart flutter. âWeâre taking you to bed as soon as weâre done with the press. Youâve had a harsh night, dear.â
âOh hush. Just tell John Iâm sorry he had to see that, poor lad.â You roll your eyes and take his hand, squeezing it gently before he departed from your room, leaving you alone once more.
You downed your water and swallowed hard, cleaning your face and fixing your hair and makeup quickly before you finally joined the rest of Queen, getting pictures taken and talking to many different fans, and the management, who also fretted over you, getting a medic to check up on you once the concert had died down and everyone had left to go home. You noticed that every boy was being like a mother hen, checking up on you constantly. Brian staid by your side, making sure you had someone to lean on if you began to feel ill. Strangely enough, the illness left you as quickly as it came and you felt fine. A little hungry and tired, but you always were after a show. Brian insisted you stay with him through the night, incase you gained a fever or got sick again. After you and the boys had an after show wind down discussion, you said your good nights to John and Roger, pecking then each on the cheek before they went to their own rooms, probably staying up for a few more hours. Brian soon retired as well, telling you heâd meet you in the hotel room. You yawned and let out a sigh, blinking sleep away as you felt someone tug on your sleeve.
âY/N, darling. Can we speak for a minute?â Freddie gently whispered to you, hand on you arm, and the other pushing his hotel suite door open.
âOf course Fred. Is everything alright?â you inquired as he led you in, closing the door after you both.
âWith me? Iâm exquisite, dear.â He answered, poring himself a glass of champagne that was left from the hotel staff. He sat next to you on the bed and sighed. He offered you a sip and you took it, noticing how bitter it was. you coughed a little and handed it back.
âI donât know how you can drink that. Itâs awful.â You said, your face twisting in disgust. Freddie furrowed his eyes and looked at the bottle.
âHmm. I thought this was your favorite. Itâs perfectly sweet in every way, I thought you said once.â You looked up and he happened to be right. It did happen to be the only champagne you had liked.
âOdd.â you hummed, shaking your head and fixing your hair. You were sick earlier, so you knew your stomach was probably still giving you a tough time.
âAre you sure youâre feeling alright?â Freddie turned to you, looking over your face, trying to find what could be lying underneath. As often as not, Freddie was still quite serious from time to time.
âI feel just fine now. I really donât know what came over me earlier.â You shook your head, laying back on the bed. You rested your hands in your middle, sucking in a deep breath.
âBrian seems to be really worried though.â You let your lips curl in a slight smile. Freddie has always known about your attraction to the taller man with the wild hair.
âHe wonât even let me sleep alone tonight. He keeps bugging over every little thing. Maybe he cares too much.â You giggle and roll over, looking up to Freddie.
âPlease.â He scoffed, sipping his bubbly and ruffling your messy hair from tossing it about all night. âI donât understand why you both wonât just tell each other already.â
âTell him what?â You say, voice defensive.
âOh stop denying it. Heâs just as in love with you as you are him.â
âHe doesnât love me like that, weâre best friends.â
âBest friends donât sleep together.â
You were silent at his last remark, forgetting all about it.
âHe doesnât remember that, Fred.â You sat up, tucking your hair behind your ear.
Freddie let out a gentle sigh and wrapped an arm around your shoulders.
âIt wouldnât hurt to talk to him about it. The tours almost over and after that, weâll all be back home and I know you and Brian can finally get a moment alone. Heâs absolutely insane for you.â Fred pushes his own hair out of his face and you leaned against his side.
âI just donât want to make a mistake and ruin what we have already.â Your voice was quiet, but it was as if Mr.Mercury had read your mind.
âWhy donât you head back to your room, get some sleep. You need it tonight. Maybe you should pretend to be sick again so our little lover boy can wait on you hand and foot.â He chuckled and helped you stand. He put his glass down and pulled you into a tight hug. You closed your eyes and buried your face in his neck.
âI love you Fred. Thank you.â You said softly and pecked his cheek.
âAnd I love you! Now go, go!â He said and begged you goodnight.
You closed the door shut with a gentle click, making your way back down the hall to where you and Brian were staying for the night.
You knocked on the door before letting yourself in. Brian was sitting at a desk, his song book wide open and his guitar sitting across his lap. He was already down to his pajamas and didnât seem to hear you come in. You stood still for a moment, just watching him hum quietly and pick at a few chords before writing a few things down and starting again.
You must of sighed loudly, causing him to blink rapidly and looked up and saw you, surprised before his mouth turned into a comforting smile.
âHello love. Back so soon?â He said, closing his journal and setting the guitar down. You walked into the room and went to your suitcase.
âFreddie was being mad as ever.â You shook your head and giggle at the words of his still ringing truths. You grabbed your pajamas.
Brian stood and observed you as you smiled to yourself, your face gaining a much lovelier color than it had earlier. your cheeks were rosy and your eyes were tired, but you already seemed to be feeling loads better.
He smiled, thinking to himself about how much he had enjoyed your company.
You excused yourself to get dressed in the loo and Brian packed his things away, waiting for you to get back.
You came out wearing a green satin button up night shirt with matching shorts underneath. You looked so magnificat in the dim light of the darkened hotel room, Brian couldnât help himself from staring. He quick shook his head, curls following suit as he grabbed a bin and set it on the ground on your side of the bed.
âJust in case you get sick during the night. Donât be afraid to wake me if you need any help or want me to get you anything. You need to rest.â Brianâs hand found the back of his neck and he stood mere inches away from you. You lean against him playfully, before giving him a hug. He held you strongly, petting your hair before kissing the top of your head. Thank you, Bri.â You say and begin to climb into the bed, feeling sleep take over your mind and body instantly, barley even feeling Brian climb into the bed next to you.
A terrible nagging feeling hit your gut and you were up in an instant, completely forgetting the bin on the floor next to the bed. You hurried to the bathroom, closing the door behind you before you retched in the toilet, feeling dizzy and your stomach hurting terribly. You just hoped that you hadnât awoken Brian.
After dry heaving for about 5 minutes, You flushed the toilet and wiped your forehead free of sweat. You looked at yourself in the mirror and deeply sighed, looking at how sick and pale you looked. No wonder why the boys made such a huge fuss. You turned the water faucet on and thanked God that Brian had brought your bag of toiletries into the bathroom earlier. You hadnât looked through your bag in quite a while, you noticed. Normally, Freddie had a makeup artist and a crew of people to do your makeup for you and your hair. You looked through your bag, finding your toothbrush and tooth paste before your hand found a small unopened box of sanitary pads that you got while you were in a few cities over. You furrowed your eyes and thought about how long itâs gone since you actually had gotten your period. You bit your lip and began thinking back, sighing as you leaned against the counter, back towards the mirror. You pressed a hand to your forehead, trying to keep all fear and panic to a minimum.
That couldnât be right, you thought. You shouldâve gotten your period about three weeks ago. Suddenly everything began to make sense. The sudden illness, the strange taste, emotions running high.
You closed your eyes hard as your world began to crumble.
âShit-â You say audibly, putting the box back into your bag, getting a glass and filling it half full with water.
You down it as if it was a shot of whiskey. Your hands shook, still not wanting to admit that everything was falling apart around you.
You gather yourself enough to open the door and make your way back to the bedroom, holding your breath as you tiptoed to your suitcase. You looked to Brian and watch the rise and fall of his chest, face so serene and peaceful. All you wanted to do was kiss his eyelids and press your ear to his heart and lay with him forever. But then you remembered that night. The forsaken night that you both had together and the fact that you both had slept together. You suddenly scare yourself and get dressed quietly. You peaked at the clock and notice it was still too early for anyone to begin to wake up. You knew you still had about two hours before even anyone would begin to awaken.
You quickly throw your jacket on, and left the hotel room, making your way down the busy city streets to find a little drug store. You quickly grab the one product you dreaded, purchased it and continue to make your way back to the hotel, shaking. You really hoped Brian wasnât awake quite yet, and he wasnât.
After about 7 minutes of pacing and taking the dreaded thing, you stood in the bathroom with tears in your eyes as you held a positive pregnancy test.
âIâm... â You breath out and suck in a harsh breath.
âIâm pregnant and itâs Brianâs.â
