I know we’re talking a lot about the “who lived and who died” on this chapter, but
This scene?
It’s just the biggest example of the feeling this arc’s aftermath is gonna have.Â
Lost of hope. Regret. The emptiness of not knowing if you should be doing what you’re doing with your life. What’s next? What’s left?
“Maybe I should find... A new job.”
Are they going to have a tomorrow?
Those people, despise their flaws, gave their lives for the cause. For the people. And now even that wasn’t enough. They “failed”.
This whole chapter was made to make us feel what they’re feeling. To prepare us for what’s to come. It’s not just about faces and names. It’s about a whole country that’s about to lose the little bit of hope they still had.
After 296 chapters, the first part of Boku no Hero Academia reaches its end. But are we ready for what part 2 has for us?

Chapter 295 is, in simple words, the end of the Paranormal Liberation Front War Arc (or just Liberation War Arc). We still have the aftermath to deal with, but for now we can say that the now biggest arc in the series is done for.
And with it, a new League of Villains is ready to rise, with their big players finishing their most recent characters developments. I wanted to talk about it a little bit.
[Spoilers for chapter 295 ahead]
With Shigaraki and Dabi we can clearly see the change in their characters and the possibilities that we can have for them.
Shigaraki will have to deal with his new quirks and the presence of AFO in his head, while Dabi will probably keep moving forward on his quest of ending Endeavor's life. It's a bit unsure if Dabi is going to take Shigaraki's role as the "main villain" while he recovers, but I think we can expect him to have an even bigger role after this arc.
(And, hopefully, we'll see a confrontation between Toga, Shigaraki and Dabi about Twice's death soon enough)
Toga also had the start of her big development this arc, even if it was a bit more complicated to understand it (and I think I have the feeling some people overlooked it during the chapters she appeared in). When she had to fight Curious, we got to know that everything that Toga wanted was... A normal life. Like everyone else. It may sound delusional, but it was simple as that.
Then she starts to realize how impossible that dream is after Twice dies.
They're villains. They're meant to fight the Heroes. The life Toga wanted to have, the normality of it, was just a dream. A impossible one. If you see her interactions with Ochako and Deku you can see it – she fought them, yes, but she always saw them as "friends". She never hated them because her views of hero/villain society were distorted. She saw everyone as normal and even equal.
For her, Ochako was just like her because they both were just "two girls that liked the same guy".
But now that is about to change due to everything that happened. Everything is about to change after this arc.
Toga, Shigaraki, Dabi. Three villains that went through big changes of character with everything that happened. You could even say that they are finally... Truly liberated.
Twice and Compress are gone – mind and heart of the League. And as much as I like Spinner, he's not enough to keep the big three villains "on their tracks"
(We don't know what's going to happen with Redestro and Geten – but Compress separates the LOV from the PLF during his reveal chapter, so that could be a hint that this partnership is not going to last)
I think we're about to see a new side of the League of Villains soon – and see what the heroes are going to do about it, especially after the recent events.
Deku wants to save Shigaraki – and I wouldn't be surprised if we find out later that Shoto and Ochako want the same for Dabi and Toga.
We have some new possibilities being presented on the table now. Things are about to be... Even more interesting.
Dabi and Hawks: why the childhood friends theories dont make sense
This is the first time I do a “meta” about BNHA, but I thought I needed to explain some things now that we have more information.
Yes, I am, with no shame, a DabiHawks shipper (Dabi stan and Hawks stan too). And, yes, I never believed in those theories from the start.
I’m here to explain why.
[Warning: This post contains spoilers for the most recent leaked chapter, 291.]
a three-act review about Compress on 294
[This meta, obviously, will have spoilers about the most recent officially released chapter, 294, from BNHA. Consider yourself warned.]
Another chapter that goes to the list of "big revelations" from this arc. The war is near it's end and, with everyone at their physical and mental limits, sacrifices are being made.
So I wanted to ramble for a bit about the main character of chapter 294, Mr. Compress. Talk about his possible death, his reveal, what it means for the future and his legacy towards the League/Shigaraki.
First things first, hi! My name is Kat, and I'm bringing to you my half meta-analysis half opinion-based-review about Compress, during chapter 294, on this makeshift imaginary stage. Take a seat.
