Jeanist is Pan (a personal rant)
Probably gonna get a lot of flak for this and piss a few people off, but I genuinely hate it when people claim Jeanist can't be anything other than gay, especially when they treat it like canon information that everyone should already know, like it's one of the fucking Ten Commandments of Jeanist Fanfiction, and you're going to Fandom Hell for breaking it.
Now, I don't intrinsically hate the idea of him being gay per se, but a few of these fans are so insistent and hateful about it, it's made me hate the headcanon entirely, and it's always "because he looks like that," or "because he acts like that," or "Just look at him, isn't it obvious?"
Because apparently it's a stone-cold fact that flamboyant men with feminine interests cannot be attracted to women? Did I miss the tablet that was written on? Because the way someone looks determines their sexuality? Does the way Toga look affect her sexuality?
It's a headcanon largely based on a fucking stereotype, and it's infuriating that they just won't admit it's their personal preference and stop clutching their pearls when someone dares to disagree with them. Being gay isn't the highest marker of queerness; liking women doesn't make him (or any other queer person) any less queer. News Flash: Lesbians are queer! (And having an attraction toward women doesn't diminish his attraction to men either, as so many people are bent on diminishing the other side of Bi and Pan sexualities once they enter into a relationship.)
Too many of his fans have pissed me off with this, and I am a spiteful creature, so despite shipping him with other male characters (namely Edgeshot), I actively refuse to say he's gay.
This motherfucker is Pansexual Demiromantic in my mind. He is rated E for Everyone. He finds the beauty in everything and everyone. You got a dick? So does he. You got a vagina? Cool. You got the wrong parts at birth? Doesn't matter. You some weird, scary heteromorph that looks like it came from the Alien franchise? He'll figure it out.
And since I made a big deal out of it earlier, here's me claiming that: this is my personal preference, this is my personal headcanon fueled by my fucking spite, and there is no canon justification for it, nor will I try to find one.
Happy Pride.
Why me?

A/N: This would be a prologue to a fanfiction idea I have I just want some people's opinions If the concept is interesting or not ^^
You had never asked to be in this situation, locked behind four walls that made up an already moldy basement. It was never your choice; it was your parents. The moment those⌠superpowers started appearing, they thought the end was coming, that those with powers would destroy everyone. But you couldn't disagree more. Yes, itâs true that some of them were causing chaos, but there were exceptions that you knew personally. She was cheerful, patient, and selfless, more than the people around you who would shun anyone who disagreed with them. Thatâs the same reason why they had to drag you away from her into the basement that you have found yourself in for the past several years. How many? Well, you lost count, enough years for your parents to die, and for supplies to run out, thatâs for sure. But you didnât feel hungry; you hadnât felt hungry for a while. You never tried going out; your parents didnât let you. And after they died? You didnât feel hungry, you never went out for supplies, those walls are all you knew for a long time, so you started feeling safe around them and stayed.
It was one day when you started hearing movement coming from what used to be your house. Someone moving in? Most likely. They wouldnât find the basement anyway, no, they wouldnât, your parentsâ friends made sure of that. But you were curious, you tried knocking on the door to the basement but somehow, your hand went through that door that separated you and the outside. You pulled back your hand and looked at the door for a few seconds, then attempted it again, this time pushing through completely.
You found yourself in the middle of a young couple talking to some construction workers, waving your hand trying to touch them. You were a ghost to them, literally, but you could still see yourself in mirrors as if you were completely fine. You couldnât talk to them either; you tried, all you got was a âHey, did you guys hear that?â from the young woman. Maybe in the future youâll be able to communicate properly. Right now? You couldnât. You stood there for the rest of the conversation, listening.
âThis house seems in perfect condition compared to the others. Weâll stay here while we continue in the rest of the town.â The woman told the construction worker
âAlright, is that all?â The worker answered, noting everything said down in a notepad.
âWe think so, I mean, the most important thing here is to be reminded of the past.â The young man explained. âAfter all, there arenât many towns from 100 years ago that you can still find in this condition.â
They all laughed, you couldnât, over 100 years? You really were a ghost. You stumbled back, accidentally hitting one of the toolboxes lying around. The three people standing there immediately turned their heads towards the sound, but you couldnât look them in the face, so you ran. Even if they couldnât see you, you kept running, not daring to look at all the workers in the different houses. For 100 years, your time was frozen in a basement that no one had yet discovered.
You spent some days in the forest, at this point, counting the time you were there wasnât important, but at least in the forests around wild animals you felt noticed. As if they had a third sense, they looked in your direction, sniffed around you. Sometimes you felt as if they were following that same scent. After what felt like forever walking around, you found yourself looking at a city in the distance. Surprisingly, it was nothing like you had imagined a city from 100 years in the future to look like, but it was still a city nevertheless.
You didnât step in, not yet at least, you didnât feel ready for what you could find, so you stayed there looking at the skyline.
my bad for thinking the normies in the my hero fandom were back to being NORMAL. no, somebody posting ship art or ship evidence does not equate to them harassing horikoshi. (this only happens under posts about gay ships btw. usually bakudeku or kiribaku) what the fuck are we doing man. this is what happens when you don't show up for language arts class
