I’m almost ALWAYS down for something modern mythology related, especially when it comes to Hades and Persephone or Aphrodite and Ares. Hades as this big bad CEO of some huge company that he didn’t even want and this tiny girl coming out of nowhere and being able to bring him to his knees while simultaneously reigning over his company? Just give me Soft Hades and Queen Persephone. Meanwhile, I’ve got Ethereal Aphrodite doing her parents proud and having everyone flock to her, everyone loving her, but the one person that makes her feel sane in this huge world full of people that adore her for her looks is Ares. Ares, the one who no one would give a second glance at. The one that everyone avoids, makes them walk a little faster when they look at him, whose anger scares everyone away because they don’t quite know how to handle it. He’s the calm in her storm of personalities, all of which don’t know who she is really, and she’s the hurricane that washes away every bad feeling he’s ever had.

Dante Liam Fontaine has, by far, been one of my most developed characters in my past seven years roleplaying on this hell site. He started off on a whim for @olympiansrpg, which was something I didn’t even think I would be applying for when I first came across it but was convinced by other people in another roleplay I was in to do it. He was a beautiful baby boy, born as a child of divorce and under the wing of his military-raised father, moving from place to place and never quite fitting in. He had this rage inside of him and so much passion for getting it out in the most destructive way possible, so much so that he tried to make a career out of his anger. He was a boxer, a damn good one, until he let his passion get the best of him in a bar fight in Las Vegas. NYC and Olympians called to him, though, and he let the streets take him where they could and let Zeus do the rest. He went from being the angry and “tough” guy that most people hated to love to someone who only wanted the best for everyone in Old Olympus. Hell, he wanted the best for a bunch of people in New Olympus too. He loved with his entire heart, his entire being, and he loved without judgement because he understood that everyone had their flaws, especially when he had huge ones of his own. He wanted to save everyone, sheltered a bunch of kids off the street who were just like him: angry, but passionate in everything they did. And you know, he was just starting to heal from the wounds of his past and turning over a new leaf, because he was truly content with the way things were panning out... And then Hyperion killed him, no big deal. #RIPDanteFontaine
