It's a term coined by the internet for the feeling of gradually applying blush until you reach a point where it's visibly undone, but you're still not aware of it.
This "blindness" isn't something new, it's been lurking for years, remember 2010s overdrawn, thick eyebrows or orange toned fake tans, the aggressive bronze shade that none of us were blending beyond the jawline.
How To Escape Blush Blindness
