I started vaping when I was 17. My mom had a pen-style e-cigarette she would just keep on her nightstand. And curiosity comes over me to try it. For the most part, I was a good kid. I didn’t smoke cigarettes or weed, I would only drink what my mother would allow like wine or whatever. A lot of people around me smoked cigarettes and I never wanted to be one of those people. So I was like this is cool. Fun if smoking without the bad parts. I go in, do my research cause I research EVERYTHING. Long story short(er) I started vaping Blu e-cigs. And I vaped those for a while cause they came in a lot of flavors and were as easy to find as regular cigarettes. They were pricy but nothing crazy. I’m not sure how much time past but some months later, after I turned 18 I tried my first cigarette. American spirit because during my research I thought non-additive meant healthier. Which totally isn’t the case. more like a diet cigarette, the taste isn’t as pungent and as heavy but still a cigarette. Once I couldn’t afford that habit I switch to vaping e-juice. With the tanks and the big batteries and I was vaping higher nicotine because now I’ve smoked cigarettes the little e-cig wasn’t doing it. But vaping got expensive too. Replacing coils and parts. Plus the fact sometimes juice would pop or leak, once I couldn’t figure that out I quit for a while. Then I was smoking and vaping. Then, I started smoking weed. That’s when the whole game was changed. Once I started smoking weed, I smoked cigarettes less. I vape weed and I don’t have to come in the house smelling like weed. My mother who has been smoking cigarettes my whole life is about to invest in a weed pen to quit smoking. I’ve heard plenty of other people doing the same. I 100% believe this ban on vaping, specifically weed pens is entirely created by the tobacco company to ensure that their products stay around. Vape shop by my house, been there a couple of years at least magically shut down. What replaced it. A smoke shop. Smoke shop on everything street. Gas stations at every corner. And they all sell cigarettes. But yet, the ban on vapes. It’s all so frustrating because:
1) Cigarettes have been killing people and causing cancer for the last 50 years and still going strong
2) 400+ have died in mass shooting but gun are no more regulated than before.
3) magically only thc vapes are the problem. Despite the fact I’ve literally have had e juice pop in my mouth and burn.
4) buying anything from the black market is a fucking no-no. Thc cartridge included. Never a good idea for anything.
5) out of the recent deaths, they havent released anyone’s identity or even statements from family.
Lot of shit just seem fishy and I know how fucking shady this country can be.
