#33 or 25 for Zutara babyyy â¤ď¸đ eeek there are so many kiss prompts to choose fromďżź! đ
Hello dear! Thanks for the prompt!Â
I know thereâs so many great choices! I actually really want to do both of these for a modern au for Zutara, because in canon Katara would just waterbend the water away and Iâm weak for fluffy modern aus.
33. An unexpected kiss that shocks the one receiving it.
25. Wet kisses after finding refuge from the rain.
âUgh, of course the rain had to come the day after I lost my umbrella,â Katara groaned, shivering where they stood huddled under the bus stop. A soft smile graced Zukoâs lips when he realized where they were, after running for temporary shelter from the storm.
âWell I know where we can get one, and we can warm up. Câmon,â Zuko said, taking her hand and guiding her back into the pouring rain. They half-ran the block to his Uncleâs tea shop, but it was more than enough time for both of them to be drenched. Zuko quickly unlocked the shop, holding the door open for Katara, and locking up once they were inside.
âIf you text Uncle that we are here Iâll grab towels and put on a kettle,â Zuko said.Â
âThank you,â Katara said. Zuko slipped in the back of the cafe, letting himself lean against the wall for a moment and slapping his forehead.
âIdiot,â he muttered, âyou finally work up the nerve to ask Katara out and you canât even remember to check the weather? Stupid!â Zuko continued cursing himself under his breath as he retrieved a stack of towels and prepared a pot of tea. While he waited for the water to heat up he prepared a tray with cups, and after rummaging around the kitchen a bit longer, found some tea cakes. Zuko slung the towels over his arm, carefully lifting the tray and bringing it out to where Katara was seated in a booth.
âHere,â he said, offering her a towel.Â
âThank you,â Katara accepted with a warm smile.Â
âIâm really sorry again. I should have checked the radar for-â
âZuko, itâs ok. I promise.â Katara wrung out her hair with the towel. âBesides, this is kind of fun, being the only ones in here.â
Zukoâs smile returned, unable to fight the endearment he felt for Katara. Ever the optimist, he was glad she was ok with ending up at the place they spent every Friday night.
Zuko wanted to take her somewhere new, for a proper date, but the with the rain the Shakespeare in the Park festival was canceled for the day.
âStill,â Zuko said, âI really wanted today to be special.â
âIt is special,â Katara reassured him, âbecause itâs you.â
Zuko blinked, still not entirely convinced he hadnât fallen and hit his head and was having a very nice coma dream.
âYou donât have to-â
Zuko was cut off by the press of wet lips against his. He was frozen in place, shock numbing his mind from processing that Katara was kissing him.
Katara. Was kissing. Him.Â
Zuko took too long to respond, as Katara pulled back and said, âIâm sorry, I-â
This time Zuko interrupted her, wrapping one hand around her waist and tangling the other in her dripping hair as he kissed her. Katara sighed against his mouth, her nails scratching lightly at his shoulders as she pulled him closer. Zuko couldnât tell if the water dripping down his chin was from his dripping hair or hers, but that was the last of his concern.
When Katara pulled back they were breathless. âI uh, I know people typically wait till the end of the date to kiss, but I didnât want to wait anymore,â she confessed. Zuko chuckled lowly and rested his forehead against her.
âPerfectly fine with me.â
If you want send me a kiss prompt and pairing!
