He wasn't there to drink. Hell, he wasn't there to do anything other than catch a word with Sage about their daughter and maybe about the situation she'd gotten him tangled up in. It wasn't intentional, of course, but Asher had worked out the fine details far easier than he'd ever expected. Goddamn for being trustworthy. Surprisingly, the blonde wasn't in, though the more he thought about it, the more sense it made. On the nights Sage was working, and usually when Asher wasn't around to cover, it was his turn. Seeing as Asher was made at Sage, it made sense that the older Franklin would be at home with their daughter, or maybe she was busy trying to make amends with her sister. Regardless, she wasn't there and he had no other reason to linger. Except, the exit was now blocked by a woman he'd easily come to regret. "Aren't bouncers supposed to keep people from coming in? Not leaving?" His lame joke was matched with a look of defeat. Getting past a three headed dog would have been easier than escaping her presence.
