exhaustion has left some pretty purple half moons under her eyes that her concealer is failing to fully conceal. blue can’t be bothered much to care. at least it matches the violet of the work vest she’s neglected to peel off after her shift — in fact, she wore it through her whole set at the cafe. her guitar case is pressed as far under the table as it will go ; the perpetual presence of her trusty ukulele, bare of case, still hung lazily cross her back as she slinks into the empty both, smiling at the waitress who has brought over her usual cup of tea. one of the best things about her weekly gig was that half her payment was unlimited tea on top of the actual paycheck. blue covets the mug graciously, letting the steam warm the underside of her chin as she leans over it.
