Wellington thought “Fanny” was particularly hilarious, and cackled for ten solid minutes. Forsythia liked the line about bear maulings. They’re very protective of that book, though, and won’t let anyone else touch it. Sometimes they’re silent as they read it, staring at each illustration for a length of time. After they’d had it for an hour, Forsythia asked me if any of those children came to the mansion. I had to tell her no, that they were just pictures, not real. She went very quiet and hugged the book tightly. Then her brother pinched her, and they were fighting again…

At the mention of their names, the twins race in, jump Beau, grab the book, fight over who gets to hold it first, and run back out, leaving a cloud of dust and dirt behind them.

They got dolls… made out of coal. One has a pink bow and the other has a sailor suit.

*Hosty hugs!* The twins are actually boo-having themselves. They realized they only have a few weeks before Sandy Claws dielivers presents. They got coal the last two years, and they used it to smear all of the curtains and paintings. Either the children or Sandy needs to change their routine, or no one will be happy.

If they’d tried to exorcise me instead, it would have backfired and they would have gone up in flames.
