This year's Bedminster's Secret Gardens event raised an amazing £7500, which we're now offering to local gardening and environmental projects in the form of small grants. If you're part of a group which wants to make the community greener and more sustainable, you can apply for a grant of up to £400 to help.

Perhaps you want to improve a green space near you, do something to increase biodiversity or organise a workshop with your neighbours. Your group must be working in the Greater Bedminster area and the deadline for applications is 18th September.

It's lovely seeing so many Good Front Garden Awards up - well done if you got one. We've still got some streets to do, and because of the hot weather over the judging period, we're extending the judging until next Sunday (12 June). Keep watering!

We've had 11 lovely designs submitted for this year's award design - but we need your help to choose just one.

Voting ends on Monday 25 May - the winning design will be announced shortly after.

Judging from this year's Good Front Garden Award will take place between Saturday 13 June and Sunday 5 July.

Make a date for your diary! The first ever Bedminster Festival of Gardening takes place from Monday 8 to Sunday 14 June 2026.

A week full of gardening fun. Activities are taking place every day including expert talks and advice, community gardening sessions, art installations and gardens to visit.

Visit gardens - the festival concludes with Bedminster's Secret Gardens weekend. There are over 40 gardens open to visit on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June, 12-5pm.

This summer the Greater Bedminster Good Front Garden Awards will return. We’re now inviting entries for the design of this year's Award. Now in its 22ndst year, each summer volunteer judges give out thousands of awards across Ashton, Ashton Vale, Bedminster, Bower Ashton, Southville, Marksbury Road and Windmill Hill to say 'thank you' to those who's front gardens are making a green and pleasant contribution to the neighbourhood.

The design of the award should be on A4 size (it can be portrait or landscape). It should contain the words 'Good Garden Award 2026' and there should be a space to include the Boardwalk logo who are supporting the awards again this year.
