Her suggestion was unacceptable, eyes fixing on her as his disbelief slowly made itself visible over his features. Did she suggest he was nothing but ignorant to her suffering? “ What?” No, he didn’t want her to repeat. He heard her clearly, he just gave her a chance – a few heartbeats to understand how unbelievable it was that Jughead wouldn’t realize the impact his plan had on her, on her feelings, her emotions. What was slowly eating her inside, was eating him too. It was always worse to watch your loved ones suffer than suffering yourself. It was the ultimate and the purest form of pain, one that he couldn’t even hide.

“ Do you really believe that I don’t know? Do you really think that I am blind for your pain?” he questioned, wanting the statement to be born out of anger and not reason because if she questioned him, it meant she questioned them. “ I do know what I’ve put you through and not a single day goes by without me regretting it. I was there. I was there to see every paper cut turning into something worse. I was there to regret it. I know everything I’ve put you through. You might have been the one walking through hell but I was there, guiding you to it and believe me there is nothing worse than you can feel. So don’t you even think that I don’t regret it. I do.  Every single moment. “
