Angsty BlitzDash fanfiction below the cut.
I'm actually pretty proud of this! Can you guys read it please :)
Arguments were something the duo normally had. It wasn't too surprising to see them yelling at each other, but they were friends. Their friendship was a little bit strange, compared to others, but even though they argued a lot of the time, that didn't mean they didn't care for each other. They cared for each other, very much.
Both were just equally stubborn, teasing each other relentlessly and calling each other names. At first, their nicknames for each other were intended to be insults, but the fact that it was supposed to be an insult worn out over time.
Yes, indeed, their relationship was odd, but that didn't mean they didn't love each other. Both of them concealed their feelings with insults and arguments, afraid of the other finding out. They were scared of being rejected by each other. But, that never would have happened. Well, it never would have happened if one of them spoke up, but neither of them did.
Both knew that eventually, they wouldn't be single forever, and that someone would snag them up when given the chance.
He was an egghead, yes, but he took the chance to make Dash his. Of course, it took some time. A lot of time. Blitz never gave it a thought, thinking that she'd break it off after a couple days or so. She never did.
Everyday, he'd see how happy his rival made her, jealousy taking over. She should be Blitz's, not this kid from Physics. He would have said something, but he knew it'd be no use. Years passed, Dash and the egghead's relationship staying strong.
Why did that nerd have more of a chance than he did, Blitz would think to himself. Oh, Blitz, you both had an equal chance. You just never took it.
Time passed by, and next thing he knew, Dash and Andrew were getting married. Once again, he never said anything, too stubborn to even admit it out loud. But he knew how he felt towards his filly faker. He always knew.
Only one person knew, of how he felt. And that was Berry. Blitz never had to say anything, but Berry knew, as he was his best friend, and he knew him well enough to know his feelings toward a girl.
Berry never said anything to him about it, though. He wanted Blitz to do something for himself, this time.
Blitz got an invitation to the reception, of course. His anger took over, and he ripped the paper into pieces. He should be the one inviting people along with Dash.
He never went, refusing to see the one he loved get married to someone else. He spent that night getting drunk, drinking his pain away. It worked, for a while. But in the morning, reality slapped him in the face, reminding him of the chance he lost.
If at least one of them acknowledged how they felt towards one another, this mess never would have happened.
He tried to get over it. He really did. He tried forgetting it, about her, about them. But how, exactly, can you forget about someone who took up all your thoughts for the longest time, but just throw them out of your head? You can't, for that is like trying to erase a part of you, because they became your other half, even if you never became theirs.
