   “i wouldn’t eat those oreos if i were you.” kenny tells him with a smirk, leaning against the kitchen counter. “i put them in that glass container when i moved in, which, was, like a year ago, so they’re probably not good anymore.” he shrugs, giggling to himself for a moment as he shook his head. “i have cookie dough, though, so if you want cookies, i’ll make them for you!”

“everybody’s insecure, especially people with everything. why else do you think they’ve got everything?”

fingers carefully and cautiously comb through his curls, sighing wistfully as she looks at them through the mirror positioned in front of them. “you know what? i’d sell my soul for hair like this,” she murmurs, comfortable enough in the male’s company to tell the truth. they’d become good friends over the course of time they’d spent working together, and she doubted he’d mind a compliment or two. “perhaps not the length, not for me at least...wouldn’t suit it, have a weirdly shaped head.” she winces, clearing her throat as she grabs the actual comb, to accomplish her job to a professional level. it’s what his hair deserved, after all. “so then, remi. tell me -- any new hotties you’re yet to tell me about?” tilly asks, with a raised brow as curiosity lingers on her features. “you know i live vicariously through you. i’m craving fresh gossip.”

I constantly see her put so much effort into her threads and steady development that it’s really impressive honestly. 

sitting pathetically in a diner booth by himself isn’t exactly how he pictured the day to go. there was no hiding his upset, elijah decided. he’d been staring blankly at the now empty half of the booth for an uncertain amount of time. hands are clasped around a cold cup of tea that was only purchased for the sake of being able to stay there. how could he face anyone after this? his friends, his family. he’d just been dumped in the most public setting. and not only that, the love of his life had found a replacement as if their relationship was nothing. his mind was racing and he hardly noticed the person standing in front of him. when he did, his body shifted to sit up a bit taller, eyes meeting the other’s for the moment. “ can i help you with something? ”

“We shouldn’t be here.”  He spoke the words knowing damned well he didn’t mean them. There was one thing, one person he seemed to have a hard time letting go, and that person was currently sitting right in front of him. The meeting was one that he had asked for, finally branching out on a limb when Remi was in town - and taking advantage of it. It was hard to keep that smile from his face though, features lighting up just to look at the boy - the boy that he was entirely to invested in, the one that he didn’t just want to help. It was more than that, it had always been more than that, the connection between them back at the center had been almost instant. He remembered it well, electric in all the right ways, until professionalism got in the way. “But...I needed to see you.”  Admitted, shrugging broader shoulders, leaning back in the chair.
