I adore Bleeding Edge goths! But the one thing I don’t adore is the casual racism in the line & the fandom. My two boys cost me about $5 ea but the girls were $15-$20 ea. I chose to get these two girls in particular because they’re the only women of color in the series that I’m aware of AND they’re both variants the gold one being a con exclusive. There are light skinned versions of both my girls but there are no dark skinned versions of any other characters & just straight up no men of color period, awfully convenient how that works out hm? I don’t like how colorist the goth subculture can be and Bleeding Edge goths carryon that unfortunate tradition. That being said I’m grateful for the two that I do have but I doubt I’ll get any more of them. There is an Asian female character but she’s not a figure like these 4 she’s a doll & she’s a geisha... because of course she is. Learn from this my friends! Pale skin a goth does not make.
