Before & After This is the Bleakfort General Store. It's run by the Rousseau family and the shelves brim with both local favorites made by neighbors and traded goods brought to town by the train each season. You never know what you’ll find, but it’s always worth the trip.

In response to the growing community of Bleakfort, a new public elementary school has been built, providing a welcoming and dynamic environment for the town's youngest students. The school stands as a beacon of learning and creativity, designed to nurture curiosity and foster a love of education.

Upon entering, students and visitors are greeted by a cheerful lobby decorated with student artwork and community projects. From this lobby, the children can access all classrooms and the cafeteria.

Classroom A: A spacious, well-equipped room where core subjects are taught. The classroom features everything needed and even has a reading corner stocked with books suitable for all reading levels. Next to the teacher's desk, the classroom womrat Beatle lives.

Science room: This room is designed to ignite curiosity and foster a love for science. It includes lab tables, microscopes, and a variety of scientific equipment for hands-on experiments and activities. Displays of student projects and educational posters line the walls, creating an inspiring learning environment.

Art room: A vibrant space filled with art supplies and creative materials. Easels, drawing tables, and a variety of crafting tools are available for students to explore their artistic talents. The walls are to be adorned with rotating displays of student artwork, celebrating their creativity.

Nestled deep within a valley surrounded by towering, snow-capped mountains, lies the quaint town of Bleakfort. Here, winter reigns supreme; its icy grip unrelenting throughout the year. Snow blankets the landscape, transforming every rooftop and tree branch into a pristine canvas of white. The air is crisp, carrying the faint scent of pine and the promise of fresh snowfall.

The residents of Bleakfort have adapted to this perpetual winter; their lives intertwined with the rhythms of the cold. Despite the harsh climate, Bleakfort thrives on its unique charm and close-knit community.

Thanks to the expertise of newcomer Cemil Okyar, a former architect from the big city, Bleakfort now boasts a state-of-the-art health clinic that combines modern functionality with small-town charm. The previous clinic, though relatively new, quickly proved too small to meet the growing needs of the community.

Upon entering the clinic, patients are greeted by a warm and inviting reception and waiting area. Comfortable seating, a selection of reading materials. The interior design, guided by Cemil's vision, incorporates calming colors, local artwork by Daisy St. James, and thoughtful touches that reflect the community's character.

Through the door behind the reception desk, the staff of the health clinic can take a break and get an overview of the daily schedule with patient informations.

The rest of the ground floor features Psychiatrist Antwan Bahij and Dr. Applebaum's offices, which also works as their consultation rooms. Antwan's office is kept in warm wooden colours to ensure a calming area for his counseling sessions, while Quinton's office is closer to looking like a standard examination/treatment room as per his request.

In an adjacent building, the residents of Bleakfort can enter the small pharmacy. Here they can pick up their prescriptions or buy over-the-counter medicine as soon as Dr. Applebaum starts producing it.

Speaking of medicine; Upstairs the clinic features a small lab where Quinton can make the medicine.

The Harris Sawmill, a prominent structure at the edge of town, stands as a testament to the community's industrious spirit. It’s one of the primary sources of employment in the small town, providing essential materials and craftsmanship that support both local needs and exports. Through many generations, the Harris family has owned this sawmill, and as of today, Michael Harris continues this tradition.

The heart of the operation is the expansive sawmill floor, filled with the hum of machinery and the rhythmic sound of saws cutting through timber. Here, logs are transformed into beams, planks, and various wood products.

Adjacent to the main floor is a workshop where workers build and assemble various wooden structures. This area is stocked with tools and workbenches, creating a space where creativity and craftsmanship converge. From custom furniture to intricate carvings, the workshop showcases the town’s skilled artisans.

As of year 2, the employees of the sawmill are:

Markus Estrada: Foreman. As the foreman, Markus oversees the day-to-day operations on the floor. He ensures that the work is done safely and efficiently, balancing the demands of Michael with the needs of the workers. His leadership is respected, providing a buffer between the workers and Michael’s stringent expectations.

Bill Kwon: Welder. Bill handles all the metalwork, ensuring that the machinery is well-maintained and that any custom metal fittings or repairs are expertly executed. His precision and skill are vital to the smooth running of the sawmill.

Nasir Bahij. Crane Operator. Nasir skillfully operates the crane, moving large logs and heavy materials with ease. His role is critical in maintaining the flow of raw materials into the sawmill and finished products out to customers.

Max Ford. Cladding Installer. Max specializes in cladding, applying finishes and protective layers to wood products. Her attention to detail ensures that the sawmill’s output meets the highest standards of durability and aesthetics.

Damian Murphy. Drill Press Operator. Damian operates the drill press, creating precise holes and cuts needed for various wood products. His meticulous nature and technical expertise contribute significantly to the quality of the mill’s craftsmanship.

Owned by the enterprising Nadiah Bahij, the Bleakfort Bathhouse is a serene oasis in the midst of the town's perpetual winter. Designed to provide relaxation and rejuvenation, the bathhouse offers a range of luxurious amenities that make it a popular retreat for residents and visitors alike.

The centerpiece of the bathhouse is the spa, which features a variety of treatments designed to soothe the body and mind. Services include hot stone massages, saunas and steam rooms and soothing hot tubs.

The new Bleakfort Community Square, envisioned and brought to life by newcomer Cemil Okyar and his family, stands as a testament to the town's spirit and aspirations, combined with the St. James family funds. This new square offers a variety of amenities and activities that bring residents together in all seasons and occassions.

The new Community Square features a wedding venue elegantly decorated with rustic furnishings, offering a warm and intimate atmosphere perfect for ceremonies and receptions.

Several outdoor grills are available for community barbecues, providing a space for residents to cook and share meals together, and a cozy campfire area with log seating and a central fire pit, offers a perfect spot for evening gatherings, storytelling, and roasting marshmallows.
