“Don’t get me wrong, I love Connor.  He’s my brother.  But let’s face it -- archery isn’t his strongest talent.”  Connor was like Dinah or Cassandra herself-- he was a martial artist, and, from everything Roy could tell and had seen and been told, one of the best.   Roy’d never be able to fight the way Connor could -- but Roy was still a better archer than him. 

it was rare to see barbara in a state, a single tear rolling down her cheek, being wiped away by the hand that gripped her coffee mug ( that held nothing in it ) with fever, with intent to kill.     ❛     hey, cassandra....     ❜      her voice was a little hoarse, tender as she tried to clear it with a simple cough before sipping from her empty glass to cover up her momentary out break of emotion.

       ❛     i wasn’t expecting you here. i thought you were going to stay that the manor tonight. i’ll... go make some food, maybe some coffee or whatever you want.    ❜

barbara gordon was one that had the MOST patience of their crew, their family. she also had the intelligence, to interact with the few that had a hard time speaking english. barbara gordon was fluent in sign language, spanish, french, russian, && a lot of other things. but the one thing she loved most about her talent; her edetic memory, was her ability to share it with people she held close. helping them. making it easier for them.

      ❛   we do have flashcards, i can grab them if you want me to.     ❜     words would leave her lips as her hands would fluidly make the motions. spelling out every word, in a language that cassandra could understand better than her own lips. but they were trying. OH, they were trying. it was the least barbara could do. for the girl that wore her cloak. her name. one that she called a daughter. ( to herself, not to anyone else. )
