[SMS] : Hey, Dex. [SMS] :  I’m sorry I snapped at you earlier. It’s been a long week, and I                didn’t mean to take it out on you. I shouldn’t have taken it out on you.[SMS] : You’re my brother, and I know you’re just looking out for me, even if              sometimes I don’t see it that way.[SMS] : I owe you one.[SMS] : Beer’s on me, next time?

           his heart is beating fast,   fear && adrenaline running through his veins.  he’s jumping on his toes, as if he’s ready to take anyone if they decided to come at him.    but finally, his eyes rest on his father && his heart slows.  harrison doesn’t understand fully why dexter would do that for him, would put himself in danger for him.        the blond can’t really understand why he feels the anger in his stomach that he does && before he can even think about it his mouth is moving && words are being shouted out. 

       apparently, reconnecting wasn’t as easy as all those reality t.v shows suggest.   maybe what’s missing is an obnoxious host that makes harrison && dexter actually speak to each other.    the teenager brings his drink to his lips && his brown eyes follow over his father’s movements, trying to read him, to read this situation && manipulate it to his own liking. 

             ‘ do you still talk to astor && cody? ’      harrison’s two half siblings didn’t contact him anymore, not after he outright screamed at them to leave him alone while he was high -- he regrets it,   but you wouldn’t catch his stubborn ass going back to them. the blond would rather suffer than seem weak.

       memories of his nightmare begin to blur as his father’s arms wrap around him.   the dream didn’t make sense,   there was BLOOD && SCREAMING, a blonde woman who he’s only seen in photographs.  harrison sniffles && pulls away from dexter’s chest to wipe his face, small breaths leaving his mouth quickly as he attempts to calm his heart rate.

              ‘ i don’t want to go back to sleep, daddy. ’     his words are quiet, barely a whisper as he settles his head back to his dad’s chest, feeling safer there.   ‘ it was really scary. ’
