he was admittedly unprepared, but lloyd did what he did best, which was winging things without a plan. 

❛ happy valentine’s day, yuri! ❜ he chimed, a hand offering yuri his present, a simple hair-tie with a metallic diamond charm on it. he was a bit proud of his smith-work, even if it wasn’t the most dazzling or extravagant accessory out there. ❛ i made you something! ❜ and on time, too, as his presents were notorious for being late or unfinished. 

    ❝ HUH ? Is there something over there ? ❞ As soon as he turned his head, he blinked in ASTONISHMENT when lips pecked right against a cheek ! Immediately, he shifted his head right back over to meet Yuri’s now seemingly innocent expression ( as if he didn’t do a thing ! ) He stared at him for a moment, PUZZLED by his action but then he offered his companion one of his usual smiles, though a bit more BASHFUL than usual. 

    ❝ Were you trying to SURPRISE me or something ?❞ He laughed and momentarily rested a hand over the kissed cheek. For some odd reason, this little gesture was enough to set his heart APOUNDING ... just a bit. 

    Hmm. 

    He drew a step closer to plant his lips just right at the EDGE of Yuri’s lips. It was REVENGE, if he had to call it something. He then retreated a step away with an even more RADIANT smile, confident he won somehow. 

    MIKLEO was certainly caught by surprise when Yuri actually came by with a Valentine’s Day present and a strawberry shortcake no less ! Though the Shepherd was hardly a cook, he had an impressive talent for a few SPECIFIC recipes … that cake sure looked APPETIZING though. What was this about anyways ? It didn’t seem like Yuri was the kind of guy that cared much for these kinds of celebrations. He supposed it wasn’t bad to receive something from him … it made him a bit happy if anything. He couldn’t deny that Yuri had his ENDEARING moments but not that the Seraph was overjoyed or anything.  

     – And of course, the day couldn’t go without the Shepherd doing something to get a RISE out of the Seraph ( or finding an opportunity to simply play with him for the kicks ). He blinked at him for moment, as if to process what just happened but he soon reached to brush the frosting off his nose with a DISPLEASED grunt. ❛ Ugh – you’re seriously so CHILDISH. ❜ Though, he knew all too well that his remarks meant nothing to the other.

     He stared down at his thumb now covered in frosting and licked at whatever remains there.❛ … This isn’t bad though. I’m surprised that you can even make something like this. I guess I should give you more credit. ❜ Though it was subtle, he offered his companion a smile.❛ … Thanks. ❜ He supposed he should return the favour later today … well, after he enjoyed the cake anyways.

lloyd came upon a beautiful? strawberry shortcake left in the open, not a single note to say who it was for, or even who it was from. it seemed deliberately left there, though, and lloyd had little to no self-control when it came to food. happy, he grabbed the plate with both hands and hovered his nose over the cake, appreciating its sugary-sweet scent first. surely, one cake wouldn’t be missed if this was someone else’s? he’d make haste of eating it up and not leave a single crumb behind! ravenously, he scarfed it down, pink frosting getting all over his cheeks as he couldn’t be bothered to use utensils, let alone find them.
