The repetitive snapping of mandibles and splattering of saliva was a truly grotesque ensemble, nearly as horrifying as the sight of the beasts trying to crawl their way through the wooden boards crossing over the long-since shattered window to the infirmary. A cluster had managed to slip into the safe zone the building was tucked away into and were making trouble while the heaviest hitters were off at the front lines. The creatures weren't particularly clever, trying to brute force their way through, but an overwhelming swarm like they were forming may well squeeze through in time.
Suddenly a sound like a buzzing chainsaw cuts through the air, as something slams into the group of them from above, tearing through one with a satisfying SQUELCH!! The remaining creatures made an effort to disperse, only for the same object to swing back up and splatter at least one more out of view of the window's space. Moments later, a giant, pink, viscera-covered lollipop floated up into view, the large spinning spines running along the candy perimeter slowing to a stop. It swayed off to the side, its place being taken by a rather intense-looking Jester.
"Did any get in there?!" she blurted out to the first person she made eye contact with, eyes tearing away to scan the floor quickly before looking back up. "I can totally come in through the front door and kill any that got in there!"
