PAGE BUDDIES !!
Okay so backstory on this, these characters I made up when I was in 4th or 5th grade with my buddy Josh and boy do they mean a LOT to me. They were called that cause at first they were just doodles on our notebook pages making silly comments. Eventually we made more characters and started drawing comics with them, made up heroes and villains, lore, worldbuilding...we even had a fully fleshed out trading card game drawn on index cards with complex rules !!
These characters were so important to my childhood and my creative growth. They were the first characters I put EFFORT into. Despite how silly they are, they mean so much to me and I tried to capture them exactly as I remembered them, goofy names and all! Below the cut I put descriptions of each one and which one belonged to which of us (half of them were his half were mine and one was my step-brother’s hahah)
I may end up making some silly comics with these guys down the road we’ll see but check it out if you’re interested:
Webby: (Belonged to my friend) The first character. The MAIN character. He's a stick figure with attitude named Webby. Typical hero attitude but with a bit of a snarky side. Loved to give his friends crap but he genuinely cares about them. He's also important as he had the power to bring people back to life (yes I know bear with me, the whole of this is ridiculous). Is dating Agwazeedro (yes what a name).
Spot: (Mine) The second character. The OTHER main character. Headstrong but always playing second-fiddle to Webby. Has an intense rivalry with him despite being almost equally as important. His hot-headedness gets in the way of his leadership skills sometimes. All around okay guy though.
Blall: (Mine) Unabashedly stupid but tries his hardest. Everything is based around balls with this guy.
Had a serious crush on Webby's girlfriend Agwazeedro.
Klax: (My friends) Honestly my favorite of the entire cast. Friendly, goofball of a guy. Loves a good joke. Pretty chill (literally and figuratively, he has ice powers). Only thing? He's obsessed with Christmas so much that he freaks out and gets giddy at the thought of it...or so it seems. It's really a front for him constantly wearing that Santa hat which hides a dark secret, being the most powerful being in the universe (see why he's my favorite?).
Leab: (Mine) A little mushroom boy from another planet. He was responsible for leading his race to the Page Buddies planet and inhabiting it. Very child-like a lot of the time but shows glimmers of maturity from time to time.
Agwazeedro: (My friends) Webby's girlfriend. Very stereotypically "girly girl" (we were 10 ahaha). Love makeup and pretty bows and things. Self-conscious about her "weight" and her general appearance but is generally a sweet person. Being the only girl in the group is hard though especially with Blall looking for her affections. Sometimes called X-Zeedro for short.
Teak: (Mine) A dirty, greedy thief. Conniving jerkwad. Snarky as heck. One of my favorites. Not much more to him than that but kind of the jerk-with-a-heart-of-gold archetype. Can be often found hanging around Kelggi for reasons unknown cause he seems to hate him the most. Maybe that's his way of being friends?
Also resents being called short as he's like 1 foot tall. Still taller than Kelggi tho who's 6 inches.
Kelggi: (My friend's) An idiot. Plain and simple. The dumbest of the group. His hobbies involve running into trees among other things. He has a surprisingly troubled history though as he used to be of average intelligence until his best friend Bistrit betrayed him. He was so upset he sat still for years, not speaking to anyone and when he finally broke out of his emotional slump he was nearly braindead. Another favorite of mine.
Blazig: (Mine) A robot designed autonomously by other robots in a factory in the middle of a dark forest somewhere, specifically as a killing machine. He gained consciousness and sentience earlier than expected and broke free before they could program him with his urge to murder and instead befriended the group. Almost always serious, he's often annoyed by the antics of the rest of the group. He may not be a murderer anymore but he's sure skilled enough to be one with his arsenal of weapons.
Mexell Million 3000: (My friends) Another robot amongst the group (there's a few). Mexell is just a sphere who has a lot of utility including a massive lazer canon built in he can deploy at any time and tiny robot hands. Extremely intelligent and purely logical, though he occasionally shows signs of compassion, even if it's often misinterpreted as just more robotic nonsense. He announces emotions usually in one word sentences like when in danger stating "Alert" or when he's happy "Joy" in a monotone voice. Has a brother who is a white sphere named Llexem Billion 5000.
Zadot: (my step-brother's) A strange creature made of blades. Can't recall much about him other than being kind of chilled out but a warrior.
Kaibaty: Another robot, frequently hangs around Mexell, being both robots that also don't have limbs. He has a bit of a short temper but is a generally good person. Often hangs around Kelggi too even though he can barely stand him.
His antennae thing has a tractor beam that he can use to hold objects.
