Summary:

They meet at a bar and it’s karaoke night.

Amy is a third year culinary student, with a focus on baking, who’s hurtling on a one way track to total burn out. Between classes and work she barely has any time to hang out with her friends anymore. And to top it all off she just walked in on her girlfriend in bed with another woman.

Frankly, she needs a drink. And to shout her feelings into a microphone,

Blaze is working towards a PhD in political science. As the heir to the throne of the Sol Corporation, her life after graduation has already been set for her. Right down to where she will work and the man she’ll marry. Except Blaze doesn’t want to get married. She doesn’t even like men.

She's fine, everything is under control. It's not like meeting a beautiful stranger over drinks will upset her carefully laid out life.

First chapter of a new fic! This time it’s a modern/college AU. Kinda sorta lol. I have this in the tags but just about everyone is college age in the fic but not all the characters are in college/school. Needed a second project to work on so I don’t get burnt out on my other fic project. Speaking of which the next chapter for The Wind and the Waves should hopefully be done before the end of the month. My hope is to have it out by next weekend but as well all know. Best laid plans and all.. and 2026 keeps being kind of a big pile of dogshit. 

Decided I’m gonna start posting WIP’s of what I’m working on fanfiction wise. I know it’s late but I nearly forgot XD!

I’ve mostly been writing for a Pirate AU called The Wind and The Waves, Ever Rising and chapter 5 for that fic is in the works and ready for its first round of edits. But I’m gonna be posting the first chapter for a new longfic this week instead. My hope is to switch off posting chapters for each fic every other week (if that makes sense lol). Mostly with the hope that I don’t get burned out working on one longfic too much.

That being said this is gonna be a Blazeamy fic called Edge of the Earth! It’s a modern/college AU! One I actually started back in November but just didn’t feel confident enough to post at first. The snipet below is between the first and second round of edits. I hope to have the chapter out by this weekend!
