Jake Smith and his band The White Buffalo (it's mostly him though) are bringing back that hard drinking/hard living/hard loving kind of life back to music. If you've heard of these guys, chances are it's through tracks featured in the hit series, "Sons of Anarchy." Regardless how you've found him/them, this band is ready to drag you into a dive bar and punch you in the face with a whiskey shaped guitar.

Now, let's talk about this guy Jake Smith. He's got this incredible voice that can start with an Eddie Vedder-like quiet vibrato to a full throated "I'm drunk!" kinda country star. If Jack Daniels could sing, he'd sound like Jake Smith.

And his songs follow suit. He has some quiet, lovely ballads like "Sleepy Little Town" and this one I'm attaching to the post. But then he'll kick it up a notch with some rockers like "How the West was One" and "Joey White." Check him out.
