Obligatory post of love!
Abrideoffire - Ommy, m'darling, you're pretty much the reason I decided to creep into the GoT rp circuit. After an initial period of quietly detesting you for your intimidating awesomeness, I ended up plucking up the courage to speak to you and I'm so glad I did. I've never been a fan of Daenerys, I'm not entirely sure what it is, but she never appealed to me in the same way as a few of the other characters did. If anything, I think I was indifferent to her until I started reading your threads and it really did change my perspective of her as a character. I love the way you think and the way you write, I like how there's a certain degree of vulnerability to someone so strong, and how you convey Dany's flaws just as readily as you highlight her strengths. Not to mention you always have an answer for everything! It doesn't matter what the situation is, how heart wrenching or hilarious, you always have that strike of inspiration to really embellish what's already described in canon. Plus, let's face it, you're amazing to talk to in general. I know a lot of people can find you a bit scary at first, mostly because the small heap of prose you seem to frequently vomit onto the dash is terrifying at best, but I can honestly say, hand on heart, you're one of the best things about this fandom and I highly encourage other people to bite the bullet and speak to you! <3 Team PodPie ftw! blackwindofnorth - Yada. You're my best friend, and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. Granted, I had to twist your arm a fair bit to get you to listen to Thrones in the first place on audiobook, but your reactions at crucial moments have been genuinely amazing to bear witness to. Every death, every triumph, every witty one liner…we've shared them together and I'm so glad we have. You're a wonderful Robb, I wish you were around more often and didn't keep defecting back off to FF, but I s'pose in truth it just makes it all the more special when you do pop in! You gloriously wonderful woman, you. Stannisbaratheonses - It's the lobsterking! I don't even know where to start with you, I genuinely don't. We haven't known each other long, but it already feels like forever. We bond over the most ludicrous of things, share adminly duties for the illustrious Win or Die, and generally just muck about. Whether you're on Stannis or Jaqen, I always know your threads are going to be worth stalking. You have this really unique insight into both characters and I think it's that new perspective that makes it so enjoyable to read all of your posts. Granted, I'm still a Mance fangirl, and I will always refuse to acknowledge your claim to the throne outright, but I'll let you keep the title all the same, so long as I can keep making jokes about your dwindling hair. ;) Jon-bastark - Gabe. You were, are, and always will be my crow. Even if sometimes we fight, or bicker, I know in the end we'll always work it out because we're too much alike! Gill once said we were like Jon and Gritty ourselves, and I s'pose she's right. We're like an old married couple, and when things get tough someone usually gets a smack and the other runs for the hills! I love our talks though, whether IC or OOC, I love the bad nicknames and general hilarity, I love the barely hidden innuendo and the volatile conversations. You were the first person to ever thread with me on Gritty, and that always makes me smile. YOU WERE MY FIRST! You're the loveliest person ever, and a bloody good Jon Snow too, even if you happen to think otherwise every once in a while. I'm honoured to call you m'friend, lijepa. Freakin', honoured. Maimedlion - Courtney, I know we've never actually threaded and our interactions have been fairly brief when responding to memes or in the chatzy, but I can't do a shoutout and not include you. I've been creeping on your threads since I started on Ygritte, and I've been hooked since the first word. In much the same way as Ommy, you have this depth to your posts and an undeniable degree of skill that I can't help but fall in love with. Your posts are always well crafted, your ideas fleshed out in vivid technicolor, and let's be honest, you're just a downright sweetheart OOC too. I love seeing you on my dash just as much as I love watching your plots unfold, when each juicy detail is finally revealed it's like I'm a junkie waiting for my next fix! You really are an inspiring writer and a creative genius, so thank you for having gifted us all with such wonderful writing. Thetasteofinnocence - Ana. It's not a shoutout if I don't start giving you some much needed praise! Your Sansa is phenomenal. I know sometimes you're not always entirely convinced of your awesomeness, but I can safely say there's never been a single day I've doubted it. There's a regal degree of experience to your posts, when you manage to carve both obligation and naivety out of any scenario you're presented with. It's almost like watching two sides of a coin suddenly juxtaposed, when you've got these two differing perspectives vying for attention. That internal debate of: What do I want to do? Versus What am I expected to do? I think that's a rare thing to find and you do pull it off so well! The same applies to Gendry too, you're fabulous on that account, just like you're amazing OOC too. I can't wait for Thronecon and our exciting adventure, but until then, I will simply sit here and smile insanely every time you pop up on the dash. Quietgravedigger - Sandy-mun, I can't decide if I love or hate you right now. xD When you first scuttled into my inbox to ask for a thread, I didn't know what to expect. I'd seen a couple of your threads and was thoroughly impressed, but I couldn't in a million years have expected our own interactions to turn into the prose mountain they seem to be. I love the begrudging relationship we have as enemies, it's always fun to read and plot, even if I secretly have a heart attack every time I know I need to write another 1000+ word response! You've got a really good grasp on Clegane, and I love how your posts concentrate on far more than just the here and now. There's always that bit of backstory woven in, the snarky self reflection and hidden motivations that really bring the posts to life. As a mun, you're adorable and so well behaved and polite, which is what makes the abrasive and acerbic nature of Sandor that much more amusing to read! It's so conflicting, it's a bit like watching Jekyll and Hyde! Congratulations on making him such a convincing git, m'dear. Stronglikemyladymother - Another Sansa for the list! I haven't spoken to you as much as I'd like, but I do really enjoy our brief interludes of interaction and would genuinely love it if you see how brilliant you really are. I know from time to time you feel a bit lost and inadequate, but you truly are anything but. I should probably even send you some more of those little pick-me-up messages from time to time, to just discreetly remind you, but I think maybe that's the problem. Maybe I'm being too discreet and should actually just make little banners that profess my adoration for you and dot them around tumblr! Don't doubt yourself kiddo, you're amazing. Onetrueslayer, Porcelainivoryvalyriansteel, Swordinthedarkness - You three. Oh god. I can't even begin to explain how much I adore each of your blogs. When I've been struggling to write mini-fic, or replies to my posts, I usually just come and creep on your blogs to trawl through all of the fabulous posts and reblogs that fill them. You're like a little fountain of inspiration! I genuinely don't think I'd still be here and actively writing if it wasn't for you guys and your impeccable taste! Whether it's your own insights, some divinely crafted graphics or even other fandom related antics, I always find something to pick up a dull mood and breathe life back into a dwindling passion for writing. So thank you. Seriously. I'd be lost without you! Thedarknesstohislight, Crownedprat, Faithfultomorgana, Emmrrys, Tavernking, Iampendragon - Team Merlin. I know I don't interact with most of you, or if I have it's been incredibly fleeting, but I can't quite imagine life if I didn't follow you lot! I thought when the show ended, that was it. I'd be forever left without that bit of necessary closure to sate my long since dormant Gaius and Leon muses. But you've kept the magic of Camelot alive for me, and every day I get to see your adventures and unfolding plots is a day I'm reminded of just how lucky I am to be following you. You're all superb writers, each skilled with an almost magical degree of talent and I just love you guys. Joffreybarathaeon - Joff! I know we've only just met and we do have some serious plotting to do, but I don't think it'd be fair to pass up on the opportunity to give credit where it's due. You're a brilliant Joffrey. It's a really hard thing to do to carry off that degree of sadistic charm without feeling too much like a saturday morning cartoon villain, and you really do achieve it flawlessly! I know you were a bit nervous at first about delving into the reams of indie role-play, but honey, you needn't have been. You're doing a phenomenal job, and I hope you realise that! :) Thefacelesswolf - I know I should probably write something cohesive and well thought out here, but all I can do is smile and flail. Seriously. You're a walking pile of perfection. The amount of times I've sat down with Gendry and just squealed with joy, is uncanny. You really are the most complex and intriguing portrayal of Arya I've ever seen outside of GRRM's own work. There's so much scope to your posts, and I think to try and adequately describe them here would do you a disservice. So just take my wide eyed adoration and general fangirling! Oh, and some thanks, for having inspired me to start scribbling as Hot Pie and for having given me things to mercilessly tease Sassy Abs about. Tormentinhonor - Jacky. Could you be any more wonderful? I had this overwhelming fear of you in the beginning, since you had this divine and well structured relationship going between Jon and Ommy's Dany. It was so poetic and fluffy and I was terrified of stepping on toes. But then you just popped up one day and mentioned threading and it was like the planets had suddenly aligned! I think we were about six posts in before I realised I wasn't going to get my eyes burned out by a territorial dragon, and it's just been smooth sailing ever since. I love teasing your crow, and giving him terrible nicknames, but by the same token I love teasing you too! You're an equally wonderful mun and I still don't know why you thread with me like you do. And that's before I even get started on the twisted degree of quality that is Ramsay. How can someone so nice, feasibly write such a sadistic and bloodthirsty little monster? It's witchcraft I tell you. Witchcraft. :P iamtheghostinwinterfell - Theon. Oh Theon you adorable little whelp. I'm so proud of the fact I've finally gotten to thread with you, with what will hopefully be the first of many. You're such a pleasure to scribble with and are always full of a whole barrage of ideas. I know I don't say it often enough, but you really are wonderful and I hope more people realise and respect that! Maidofthesapphireisle - Alyssa, my heroine. I know I've said it more than once, but honestly, if I was given the chance, I would drop all m'feathered chums in a heartbeat and elope with your Brienne into the sunset! She's easily one of my favourite characters and you give her such vivid and detailed insights that I can't help but fall in love with her that little bit more as your threads unravel. It's always a real joy to be sat at some ungodly hour, watching as your Bri/Jaime threads progress, and sharing those moments of squealing joy and unchecked elation as your constant plan is foiled by a certain lion. Aside from the wonderful writing though, you're a superb artist, a delightful mun, and a genuinely all around kickass person. So thank you for being you, and for having allowed me the luxury of getting to know you! Sadisticlittlebastard - Bolty! I don't think you could be anymore adorable if you tried. The amount of times you apologise for the silliest of things is heartwarming. You write sublimely, especially when flaying, and I know you get worried about keeping people waiting or that your posts aren't quality, but honey, they really, really are. Time and time again, I just pop onto your blog to read about what you've been up to, who you've been threatening and what else you have planned. You're a brilliant writer, and a well revered asset to the Win or Die family, so don't ever doubt your skills, kiddo. You're the bomb. Oftheriverlands - Cat. Oh Cat. I think you're the only Catelyn I still follow now! There are so many things I could say about you, but most of them would probably just descend into a series of squeaks and pointing in the end. I adore you. You've been there for me on some pretty rotten days, and you always bring the dash to life with a mixture of cracktastic mischief or serious, well thought out plotting. I think that's part of the key to your appeal, the duality of your writing and the ability to keep that constant balance is refreshing in it's entirety. Plus I'm biased and just think you're lovely anyway, but w/e. It's always a pleasure to see you and I hope you'll be brightening up the dash a little more soon! Scoundrelandapirate - Yohoyoho, a pirate's life for me! I want to make pirate jokes so badly right now, but I'd better not. I think you're my favourite OUAT blog to follow. I know sometimes it takes you a while to get replies done or respond to messages, but you are hands down, definitely worth the wait. Each of your interactions is always so finely crafted and well written, and even if you do have moments of doubt occasionally regarding your own quality, you manage to push through it and deliver some beautiful and deliciously rich responses. Plus you're a sweetheart, which is always a bonus! :) And I do most assuredly look forward to our impending adventures! melisandre-rp - Mel the Magnificent! I love how we've been following each other for a while, but have only recently started talking. It's nice to finally be able to speak to someone I greatly adore without having to just creep like a crazy voyeur in the background. If we're not having late night sleepovers, we're trolling Stannis and if we're not doing that we're just hanging out like the infinitely cool members of Team Ginger that we so rightfully are. You're a fabulous Melisandre, one worthy of hair flip even, as amidst the cracky mischief I know you like to scribble, there's also this sassy and seductive epitome of fire itself, that really comes across in your threads. wrongtoleaveher - Oh look, another crow! I have to confess to creeping on a fair few Jon Snow blogs, but never actually speaking to them. There's sort of a therapeutic quality to it really, like watching various facets of what your life could've been like had it gone a different way. I know as of the last week, we do have some degree of thread in the works, but up until that point I've been quite merrily lurking and watching your threads. I think the Mel/Jon interaction is by far my favourite, but the Jon/Gritty stuff was so adorable too. You really are gifted when it comes to being able to play off of another person, when you're constantly adapting and bouncing ideas back and forth. It's a credit to your partners too, for giving you such good material to work with, but in your own right, you're a real gem of a thing to read! jaime-lion-of-lannister - Gill. Wrangler of Gabe. Despite having gone for the longest time without actually speaking to each other much at all, I have to say the last fortnight or so has been amazing, just getting to swap messages back and forth and find out about the person behind the debonair Mr.Lannister. You and Gabe are my drug, I always want that little bit more, because between the snark, innuendo and general tomfoolery you're the sunshine on a cloudy day! And that's before I even get started on how much I adore your Jaime. Even despite some real life stress, you always manage to deliver pure quality that never fails to get me hooked! Maybe I should just implement m'wildling nature, toss y'over a shoulder and steal you m'self! axesofiron, vicky-greyjoy, machiavellianpetyr - The triad of awesome. I was going to write these out separately, but I didn't want it to get any longer than it already had done. You three are without a doubt, pure perfection. Whether it's lurking in the group chat, or invading ask boxes and constructing detailed posts, you always bring a smile to my face. I love the drama and the suspense in your writing, just as much as I'm growing incredibly fond of the amusement and cringeworthy mischief that dots itself through it too. You're all a credit to Win or Die, and a credit to the fandom in general, for having given a new and exciting look at three underrepresented characters. Goodheartjeyne - Can I just keep you forever? I know we've yet to properly interact, but you really are a ray of sunshine to see every day. I love the level of charisma you bring to your posts as Jeyne, it's this really almost ethereal degree of ladylike charm crossed with an unparalleled degree of self assuredness too. I know she's not an easy character to write, but I really do think you nail her personality on the head when you're fleshing out her quirks and idiosyncrasies. Not to mention you're the sweetest and most adorable person out of character too! I love our conversations in the group chat, and can only hope to get around to threading with you one of these days! Youngerandmorebeautiful - How could I forget Marge? Clearly it's my Northern manners playing up again. I think your rendition of Margaery is a complicated one. I'm not actually the biggest Tyrell fan in the world, but I do love reading your insights and ideas for giving her more depth and structure. There's an entire new facet to her personality when you're scribbling down your thoughts, and I really do like seeing how your perspective is so enlightening to my otherwise untrained eyes. :) I also love our general conversations of mischief and plotting. Maybe one of these days Ygritte will have to pay Marge a visit for one of those much sought after silk dresses, eh? But until then, I'll settle for our usual laughter and late night antics! Aaaaand, that's it I reckon. There's at least a dozen people I know I've forgotten, so please don't take it as a personal slight, if I've just been an idiot and missed you out. I really do appreciate every single person that's supported me this far, read my fics, plotted with me, followed my posts or just generally been a sweetheart and clicked the follow button. I love you all.
