Endless Bummer | 2011 June | Grandpa | I keep writing and deleting about how I learned what a real hug felt like because it was one of my earliest memories when I was the only grandson for a few brief years, about how when my voice started changing as I got older you began shaking my hand and I thought maybe one day my hands would be strong like yours but when I started playing piano and guitar you stopped crushing my tender paws and I appreciated that, about how you made your way to this country where my father met my mother and you gave those two kids a place to raise a kid just like they gave two kids a chance to raise a kid and maybe this was what I was trying to write.
