@blackrukh asked : Al Thamen assassin
Two versions, one in which he joins Al Thamen before meeting Sinbad and one for after
Before ; Al Thamen has had it’s claws in Parthevia for years now, serving behind the scenes, led by the magician Falan. She’s introduced to Parthevia’s underground assassin troupe and takes in interest in the amount of black rukh gathering there. In particular is Ja’far, the young chief. Ja’far is nearly fallen and still only a child. That coupled with his exceptional abilities as an assassin and the fact that he’s already undergone human experimentation makes him a great candidate for Al Thamen. Falan takes him from Sham Lash and sends him off to join Al Thamen’s ranks.
After ; Sham Lash doesn’t forget traitors. After Ja’far’s escape with Sinbad, they bide their time until the opportunity arises to retake the escaped assassins. Mahad and Vittel escape as Ja’far is taken prisoner. Execution would be the normal punishment for a traitor but Falan and Al Thamen have taken an interest in Ja’far. He’s already fallen once and proven to be a suitable host for the dark djinn, surely it wouldn’t be too difficult to make him fall again. Besides, they’re rather interested in how he managed to come back from depravity.
Regardless, Ja’far joins Al Thamen. He’s taken away to one of their facilities, retrained and reconditioned to become a suitable assassin for their cause.
Ja’far still serves as an assassin, travelling globally to stir up chaos and take out any opponents that Al Thamen deems a threat to their cause. He moves up the ranks quickly. In this verse, he’s much more somber and very cynical. He’s stationed with the main forces in Kou but accompanies the magicians when he’s called upon.
Ja’far is outfitted with black metal vessel once he’s deemed worthy of it. It’s similar in form to his household vessel but utilizes life magic in the form of venom which drains and kills his opponents.
