Summary: Approximately 9,217.13 kilometers separates them for the third week. Kōtarō’s call comes at two am, and Kenma decides something has to give.

it's kind of funny when keiji spots that kenma is recording and has a orange in his hand. keiji takes the orange anyway but stares confused at kenma while peeling it. "is this for me?" he asks and kenma scoffs. "no" "then who is it for?" keiji asks again and kenma just blushes and snatches the peeled orange from keiji’s hands.

tetsurou is busy looking at spreadsheets when kenma brings the orange to him. “you don’t eat oranges” he says while taking the orange from kenma’s hands and peeling it in three rips. kenma is almost shocked but remembers that tetsurou is always snacking on a fruit and the last thing he wants to worry about is peeling the skin. “thanks anyway” kenma says, snatching the orange and skirting out of the room.

koutarou says nothing the entire time, eyeing kenma with those weirdly perceptive golden eyes that make kenma feel like his entire soul is being put on display. “thanks?” kenma barely says, a chuckle falling from his lips but koutarou hands the orange over just as slowly. “are you gonna eat it?” and kenma bursts into laughter, falling into koutarou’s arms because he can’t help himself.
