This might come off as weird, I dunno.
While I don't neccessarily MIND someone new coming in my messages or ask box, sometimes we all get a moment where you realize you might need a bit of discretion.
So, I guess some minor guidelines before one shows up in my messages, particularly for RP:
Have something there to showcase who you are. If you're an RPer, have a character bio or ask memes.
The easier it is to figure out why you know me, the better. I would prefer people whose names I've seen in my notifications than someone I don't follow and who doesn't follow me randomly show up.
As a combination of the two previous, an obvious connection to FFXIV will generally open me up more. Especially if you have a character. Playing an established character also opens things up.
The golden rule to rule them all: I might say no, even if the previous conditions are met. I'm sorry if that offends you, but to me, RP is not something I can do in abundance, and I'd rather have the best experiences I can, not just "any" experiences. Comfort is a big factor, and rules I've stated on other posts also apply too (the biggest one: don't try to initiate ERP on your first message).
Sorry for the strange post, but I hope to meet more people, esp in the FFXIV community!
