Cyclist dies on Bizard Island

A cyclist had a sad end when he wanted to avoid a pedestrian on Bizard Island in Montreal on Sunday evening.

Driving at high speed on the Chemin du Bord-du-Lac around 6:15 p.m., the 72-year-old man lost control of his bike while trying to avoid a pedestrian who entered the road at the corner of the terrace Page.

The cyclist fell and died on the spot even though he was wearing a helmet.
