Hue was given to Sam by a crappy boyfriend. He was the type of guy who would, after an argument, try to buy his way back into his girlfriend’s good graces rather then address the problems that caused the argument. They aren’t dating anymore, but at least she got Hue from it. Even if the jerkwad left the poor cherry in a dark box until he gave it to Sam.
