#bitter lance

Okay so it kind of annoys me that this isn't talked about more, especially the langst domain of the vld fandom. But imagine Lance being jealous of Keith. I don't mean "Alien flirting with Keith and Lance getting pissy". No no no. I mean Lance feeling tired and bitter of constantly being in Keith's shadow. Because imagine what it must feel like to be showed up constantly by this lone wolf type and always being compared to someone who seems unreachable, too good at what people need him to be.

I mean Lance being jealous of Keith's close relationship with his idol while he remains to be known as a team member.

I mean Lance feeling suffocated under the pressure of being the disappointment that followed Keith Kogane and Takashi Shirogane, the best pilots the Garrison had ever seen.

I mean Lance feeling upset or overlooked when compared to Keith and all of his accomplishments.

I mean Lance feeling raw jealousy burning inside of him whenever Keith is rewarded and praised and brushed it aside like it's nothing. Like the praise is so frequent that its become bothersome.

I mean Lance feeling bitter from always being shown up by Keith, the Golden Boy who was a natural leader and fighter and was always best at everything.
