Balancing up on the fence surrounding a house, Grace was working on just becoming familiar with all of this newness of living as a vampire. When she’d first worked up like it, she’d been in shock, and quite frankly, it was only recently that she even started to wrap her mind properly around her. That she’d ache for blood for the rest of her life, that she’d never really be the old her again. Well, of course she was still her old self, but in a different way. She’d died! She’d cracked her head on an edge, and if it’d not been for the blood that Claudio had kept on feeding her before it, she’d been in a casket, or burned, not been balancing on a fence. “You know, I can’t stand papercuts.” Grace suddenly spoke back up, looking to her companion of the evening. “I really, really hate paper cuts. They smell just enough of blood to make me starving, but I can’t exactly feed from a barely there cut in someone’s finger. I don’t get how those doctor-vamps can do it. Like, how can you handle being around humans and their blood all the time and not just go desperate to drink it all?”
