the night was young , people were drunk and some might secretly been high . 2am struck as some felt drops of what they thought was water . a leek on the roof ? why was it glowing under the black-light ? could have been part of the party . . . and yet the vampire and children of the moon could smell the blood as soon as it was spilled . vampires holding others back at the risk of being exposed . BLOOD . SO MUCH BLOOD caught the scent of many there when all of a sudden three bodies dropped in the middle of the dance floor .
one of them ( a vampire ) wasn’t hard to miss as it was set on fire and a sigil carved on their chest . a human who clearly worked at the station , john diaz , with their throat tore out and the other looked as if nothing happened to them . body clean of any wound she might have had .
scream erupted as the music stopped . the crowd dispersing and the sheriff and deputy taking action . EVERYONE NEEDED TO GET OUT BUT GOING HOME WAS NOT AN OPTION . whoever could have done it might still be around after all . as soon as those words came out of the deputy . it was LIGHTS OUT and the body that was once burning was gone .
most of the vampires knew it to be one of aro’s right hand , Luca , and part of the volturi . they had their own investigation to undertake .

before officers could grab control of the situation , noisy neighbors who weren’t at the rave and even folk driving by swarmed the outside of their house asking a million questions. many at the warehouse took the chance to leave and go home . they can deal with being called to the station in the morning or at least when they are called in . others decided to stay to see if there was even something else investigators would find .
