did someone on here say they wanted to put a tiny tron in their pocket last night or was that just something i imagined. because i wanted to draw that.
The parallel yet clearly different development of technology in the Tron universe is so fascinating to me. Obviously, the fact that there are sentient computer programs is different from our world, but it’s the little things I’m talking about here. Dillinger has a touch screen DESK in 1982. Granted, it seems like it’s got some serious input lag going on when he types in the password, but when he types he doesn’t have to slam his hand down on the screen and retype every few letters for not registering his touch. I would guess that the desk is using a capacitive touch screen, just judging by him not using a stylus on it. It could, of course, be some other form of touch screen, as there are many out there. There’s an entire computer company in their world that doesn’t exist in ours. ENCOM is HUGE.
If this is different, how many other things are different in their world? Did the video game crash of 1983 happen? I can’t find any evidence of it happening, and I think it would probably have been a big deal. If it did happen, it probably would have prompted a switch away from ENCOM manufacturing the arcade games and over to personal computer games, though that probably would have happened eventually.
I don't know, just really sparked my imagination.
Things I did as a child that Quorra would probably do:
Collect rocks that she thinks look cool. Not necessarily even valuable rocks but just a hunk of granite that kind of looks like a heart.
Use a weird mix of slang from different eras. Calling things the bees knees followed up with epic and radical.
Straight up read a dictionary. For fun.
Become really interested in My Little Pony. Have my little pony OCs. Talk to people in real life about her OCs.
Feed a whole colony of feral cats. They never really warm up to her all the way but she still tries to pet them while they eat food and sometimes they let her.
