Finally, the wait is over! Nazuna the Fox, my most cherished and beloved furry OC I’ve ever created, is officially 5 years old today! 🎉🦊

If you didn’t know, I originally created Nazuna on March 12th, 2021. At the time, I simply wanted to design a cute, girly blue fox character. Her original design featured cornflower blue fur and tropical mint green eyes, along with several signature white accents: white ear tips, inner ear fluff, a white belly, two stripes on both her wrists and ankles, a white tail tip, and her very special (and mandatory) white cheek fluff. That cheek fluff was inspired by Luna/Nemo the White Arctic Wolf Dog, a furry OC created by LunaWolfieXx (DeviantArt), LunaWolfieX (FurAffinity), and nemowolfiex (Instagram).

Later, on February 11th, 2023, I redesigned Nazuna by changing her colors from cornflower blue fur to icy blue fur, and from tropical mint green eyes to cornflower blue eyes. These updated colors were inspired by Isabelle the Blue Red Panda, a furry OC created by PenguinKneesy (formerly known as RanunSquish and SquishyBell).

Then on March 11th, 2024, I made another design tweak by giving Nazuna fluffy icy blue hair that matches the color of her fur, tied with cornflower blue hair ties. Her hairstyle was also inspired by Isabelle the Blue Red Panda. I originally drew this hair redesign in FireAlpaca two years ago, and for Nazuna’s official 5th birthday, I decided to redraw that old artwork in Procreate and share it today.

I’m really happy I finished this drawing in Procreate, and I’m even happier that I created Nazuna, redesigned her, and continued to keep her around after all these years. After five years, I still think she turned out amazing. What do you all think? 😊

Also, I want to give credit to the characters that inspired her. Luna/Nemo the White Arctic Wolf Dog (by LunaWolfieXx) and Isabelle the Blue Red Panda (by PenguinKneesy) were major inspirations behind Nazuna’s creation. I truly love drawing my own OCs, especially when they’re inspired by characters that I admire so much. ❤️
