Thanks to everyone who came out to Monterey Bar Berlin last Sunday for my #birthday42‬ festivities. The night looked perhaps in some strange way a tiny bit like this great, historic video clip. Maybe. In any case, great atmosphere, great friends, great beers.
As you have seen, some wonderful and strange things made their way into my hands that night, including a wooden box which may or may not have contained a cat (which may or may not have been alive before we opened it), some amazing whiskey, a glass to sip it from, a Finnish bear-killing device, a blindfold, some indoor explosives, the wine of the Devil, a couple seven-inch hits from the 80's, a fighter pilot's microphone and some prickly flowers ("for a prickly person").
My eternal gratitude for your help in battling the middle-ages blues. You all rock.
