I talked to the person, they are indeed a human, but they were acting ridiculously suspicious: Giving me no explanation for the ad. Denying their blog had any links or phone numbers at all, then saying the phone numbers are real when I said it looked like a scam several times, then saying they found the scam-looking post uninteresting so they removed it after I said it was suspicious that there were phone numbers there, working or not. (Even though they were the op of the post, so why they found it uninteresting suddenly is beyond me.) They also tried to guilt-trip me for being suspicious. Posting an ad for their services to their blog is one thing, but denying its existence and guilt-tripping is what makes this truly suspicious. (And this was beyond what could be accounted for with having english as a 2nd/3rd language, so it wasn’t a simple miscommunication) On the other hand, the fanfiction is their own, posted elsewhere under the same name, so I’m just saying to be careful, not that they are definitely a scammer. To be safe, I’ve blocked them from this blog.
