This is my first Pride month out.

But it's still so hard to be truly open about it.

People just don't understand.

They specifically don't understand asexuality.

Or if they do, they get caught up on my biromaticism.

"but you don't want sex, you aren't bi!"

And it sticks with me, you know??

But I'm actively working on letting their ignorance roll off me.

So this Pride, I ask everyone to be more vocal about ace inclusion. If we talk about it more, and include it in more LGBT spaces, it will get the recognition it needs. And maybe, just maybe, we can help others struggling to understand their own sexuality.

So in case I haven’t been super clear (which I really haven’t, since any reference to the following was stuck into the tags on like three posts), I recently sort of “discovered” that I’m bisexual... actually, I suppose the more accurate term would be biromantic. As in, I’m romantically/sexually attracted to men, and at least as far as I can tell, I’m romantically attracted to women.

I’m still sort I figuring everything out, but yeah. I’ve kind of been denying this part of me for a while now, and it feels nice to finally accept this part of myself. Again, I’m still sort of parsing out my sexuality but yeah.
