We get it. The 2019 movie sucked.
Honestly I'm pretty sure the negative reaction to the movie is why people stopped bringing their CATS cosplays to events like DragonCon. I met like a dozen people who were so excited to show me their own CAT costumes and then admitted they are worried to or never considered bringing the costume to DragonCon. I'm pretty sure "everyone hates CATS now" was a large reason for most of them, if not every one of them. The movie sucked. You know what doesn't suck? The many, many stage adaptations. Older than the movie. Younger than the movie. That movie is not the first or last CATS media. Maybe. JUST MAYBE. It's time to move on??
