          He leans down, lips slowly touching Brie’s own as his hands go to her waist and pull her in. The kiss is slow, confident, but he pulls away before anything more can happen, not because he doesn’t want it to continue - because he does - but because he knows it has to be Brie’s choice.

                      joe   nearly   jumped   out   of   his   clothes   once   Brie   placed   a   soft   kiss   on   the   inked   up   man.   Not   really   knowing   how   to   react,   he   simply   just   returned   the   kiss   before   eventually   they   broke   apart.   Wow.   He   thought   to   him   self   but   not   really   sure   on   what   to   do   or   even   so   much   say   next.   ❛     well   damn   then…     ❜   the   smile   was   still   the   only   reaction   he   was   physically   able   make   still   in   some   shock   after   the   unexpected   kiss. 

The thought hadn’t even occurred to him that she would go as far as to kiss him when the familiar bearded male passed them by, his hand instinctively moving out to reach for her hand that had been planted flat against the table, but instead found nothing there. She was up on her feet and the blond was left confused, turning to look her way just in time that he caught her lips. He blinked with the shock of the unexpected move, swallowing hard because even with all of their divorce woes, Jon still considered the pair equal in their respective friendships. “Brie...” Unable to form the right words, he chose to pause as his hand rubbed over his face. This was an unnecessary stress brought on by impulsiveness, but he could hardly blame her when Bryan had moved on so quickly and with a coworker no less. “I mean.. Thanks? I guess. I’m not against it, but shit-- Now I’m gonna have to have that conversation with him..” He almost laughed at the thought of it, groaning with the weight now hanging over him. “Don’t apologize, though. I get it. Renee and I.. we went through somethin’ like that a while back. We’re cool now. Basically, what I’m sayin’.. Fuck, I dunno. My bad. I’m gettin’ all weird..” Shut the hell up, man. Said to himself, the blond couldn’t help the awkward laugh that escaped him finally.
