update on the little bird fledglings. havent seen then for a few hrs and hoped they had found a safe place to hide if not the mother had come for them. then my dog (the one whos not homicidal )was barking till i went to see what it was.. at first i couldnt see anything but i moved the ground cover/weeds and the fledgling hopped off.. my dog was scared and kept barking at it.. well long story short. i caught him and put him in the vegie patch which is caged but still the birds sometimes get in.. i figure he should be safe there tonight. my dog sniffed him before i let him hop off into the garden..
